I attended a conference at CSR last winter. I am also a DVC owner and visit WDW annually. During the conference, I only attended conference events except for one night when we (tried) to do a group event at Downtown Disney. Many conference attendees thought that the Magic Bands were a huge pain. They just wanted a room key card. They also really disliked the long lines at the quick service restaurants in the mornings and complained that the Pepper Market was overrun with kids/families. I also heard complaints about the limited room service. Conference goers are used to having a variety of dining options within walking distance of the hotel. At Disney, you need a (non inexpensive) cab ride. One night our group of 11 had a reservation at Raglan Road one evening I sent everyone directions on how to take the Downtown Disney bus from CSR to Marketplace and then walk to Raglan Road. I suggested they allow 1 hour travel time. Only 3 people showed up for dinner. A few got to Downtown Disney and then got lost/distracted and never made it to the restaurant. Some waited 15 minutes for the bus, decided they didn't want to wait any longer and ate at the hotel. The rest were unwilling to invest a hour of travel to get to a restaurant. The last night we all ate at Maya Grill. It was incredibly noisy to the point that we couldn't have any conversation. The food was too spicy for some and not innovative for others. Service was slow. We spent 2.5 hours at dinner and no one left happy. Some people asked me after the trip why I liked to vacation at WDW. My response was that its very different when you are there on a regular vacation. I suspect most of the people from my organization rated CSR very low.
