I'll be taking my 3 year old son and thought this would be something fun for him to do, but considering the price and the fact that he's a boy, do you think it's worth it? We aren't on the DP. Actually, I'm not going to lie, *I* kinda want to see the princesses ;) Is it that much better than 1900 pf?

I would go to akershus if you want to see the Princess. The food is much better. The food is not worth the price at CRT, they charge for the convinience of eating at the castle. If you want to ea at teh castle, then go for it but if it's the matter of seeing the princesses I would pick Akershus to see 5 princesses or 1900 Pf dinner to see Cinderella, the prince and step sisters and mother

I think everyone should do CRT once for the experience. It's very expensive for what you get. However, dining in the castle is "magical". You also get a picture w/ Cindy at no extra charge.

I have a girl and it is not worth it. It is a 1 time must do, but wait till he is older and can enjot the castle.

CP at MK with Winnie and Tigger is worth the price though. :thumbsup2
Dine and Vine at HS is so much better and about 1/2 the price. For his age this one would be flawless. :cheer2:

No, I don't think it's worth the extra table credit it costs for the dining plan, and I most assuredly wouldn't pay out of pocket for it. For us, Akershus is just as good, if not better. If you're wanting to see princesses, go there--food is better, less expensive, and you get free photo included w/ meal there also. We thought dining in the castle was neat, but it didn't live up to the hype everyone puts on about it. In fact, my daughter has always preferred Akershus over the castle. We save our extra table credit and no longer go to CRT.

Yes, it's worth it. Not just for him but for you too. Saying that you ate in the castle can be a once in a lifetime experience and those princesses will make such a fuss over him.

I understand the value of a dollar and I know that things at Disney can be very expensive. However, I was raised that there are some things that are more about the experience. To me, CRT is about the experience. I say go for it. You guys can share some chicken nuggets later.

YES!

However, everyone's 'worth it' level and reasons are different. I don't care what gender your child is, outside of mickey, everyone loves the princesses. Young children *really* love them because they are face characters. Breakfast is GREAT, all you care to eat, and NOT buffet (ie: you can actually just sit and relax).

I love the included photo(s) (I had more than one copy of the photo). and the kids get a gift to keep. (sword for the boys, wand for the girls).

To me, that is 100% worth it, and I even pay out of pocket (and make less than 15k a year, so 180 bucks is NOT cheap for me. That is over half my RENT. Yet I pay it for this once a year awesome experience.)

p.s. the princesses *love* to see little boys.

I also say "YES".

We went in Januray, paid out of pocket, and enjoyed it very much. It was me, dh, ds8 and dd6.

The food was actually quite good. It was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed at all. We did breakfast. In fact we are going back to WDW in Oct and it was DH who said he definitely wanted to do the castle again

We went for dinner and absolutely loved it, as stated, its one of those moments, kept thinking "I can't believe I'm eating inside the castle!"
But, if it were me? I'd wait a bit until he is a little older (unless you are going more for you then him:thumbsup2)

We had ressies to do this with our 4yo DS on our last trip. We were looking forward to it, but unfortunately I developed a fever the night before, and we had to cancel :(

It was nice to see the refund on our CC after canceling :)

We plan to do this on our next visit. I agree with others that this will be a magical experience!

We will be there March 11. I look at it this way. You are there for the experience. I am going with my DD's age17 and 12. We have been to Disney at least five times and have never eaten at CRT. I decided this time we are going to do it. We are leaving DH and DS at the hotel. I feel like it is one of those things you just need to do once in life.:cheer2:

DH has talked me out of it the past two years. We have 1900 park fare and really loved it. However, if our plan works out and we can take the girls for Christmas I have already put my foot down! We will do CRT! I agree everybody has to do it at least once!

Have a great trip no matter what you choose!
