The review on WDWinfo makes it sound pretty bad. I wanted to take my daughter to BBB for her birthday and follow it up with a Princess meal. I thought that CRT for lunch would be a treat for her (and my son who is enthralled with the castle.) I keep reading reviews that the food is bad and the meal and character interaction is rushed. Would we be better off making dinner reservations for Akershus instead? I don't think my children would like 1900 Park Fare since Cinderella isn't their favorite princess. Thanks for any insight.

I think CRT is a lot of fun. I have eaten there 5 times now, and have never felt rushed there. There is such a great atmosphere eating in the castle. And I love the food for lunch.

I think CRT is something you have to do once at DIsney. The castle is beautiful on the inside. I didn't feel any more rushed than we were at other character meals. The food wasn't worth the price, but the atmosphere made up for it. You have pictures taken with Cinderella before you are seated, then see other princesses as you are eating. An 8x10 pic with Cinderella is included with your meal.

I had lunch there this past august. My whole family thought the food they had for lunch was wonderful......I say try it once, If you dont like it, you dont have to do it again!!!!

We have not done lunch there, but thought dinner was really great. The food was good, the show was great, and the atmospere is just wonderful. Even DS who was 8 at the time enjoyed it. They give wands to the girls and swords to the boys. Its nice that they do not leave the boys out.

Thanks for the feedback. I think we'll go ahead and try to get a reservation. Does anyone know if they will charge me for my daughter? We will be celebrating her third birthday, but she won't actually be 3 until the next week.

I did the BBB with my 4 year old daughter then did lunch at CRT. So worth it. Just for her to be dressed up and have her picture made with Cinderalla. That comes with the meal. And all the other princess come to your table. So worth it. The food was pretty good. The dessert was great.

I hear bad reviews often but we have it booked for our next trip.

I mean........it's the castle! DH and the kids are so excited! DH says it's going to be like Christmas all over again. LOL

We were just there for lunch in September, it is a experience you should do
once, the food is just okay but the atmosphere is priceless....

At what meal do you NOT get any characters>?

At CRT? None. All 3 have characters of some sort there. Breakfast and lunch are full character meals, and Dinner has Cinderella in the lobby and Fairy Godmother, Suzy, and Perla doing a show upstairs.

so at breakfast and Lunch-- Cinderella comes to the tables? Just not at dinner?

at breakfast and lunch do you get to have your photos done in the lobby with CInderella?

Cinderella is in the lobby for all 3. And the photo package is available for all 3 too.

The characters for breakfast and lunch include Belle (blue dress), Snow White, Jasmine, Aurora, among others. There usually is 4 characters that come to the tables.

Hi
My DGD (5) loved eating in the castle. We had breakfast and our waitress was great. She kept coming back with food, making sure we had enough! I told her we can't eat all of that. The princesses were great. My DGD was dressed as Jasmine and she got so much extra attention from Jasmine. She kept coming back to our table. I asked my DGD what her favorite meal of the trip was, and she said eating in the castle. She wants to go back next year!! Have fun!

hi,

we went for dinner last week, for our annivesary, daughter enjoyed meeting Cinderella as we entered the castle, we also received champagne flutes, which was really nice.

it was the first time we had visited, and was really looking forward to it, but sadly I didnt think the food was that great, and did feel a bit rushed, although it was an 8:30pm res.

We had the dining plan, and didnt miss having to use 2 x table service. If i was paying at the time, then not sure.

xx

We went to CRT 2 years ago. Res was for 2pm. We loved the pic with Cinderella and my girls still have their wands in a place of honor. We loved everything on our plates and I don't remember feeling rushed. Good interaction with the characters. We didn't return to CRT on this last trip, but that's just because there's so many great places to eat and we wanted to try some different things. I think everyone should go to CRT at LEAST once!

Just to add my twopennorth, we did breakfast and dinner last year. Best food ever? No, best character interaction? No best value for money? No

BUT WE HAVE BOOKED TO DO BOTH AGAIN NEXT YEAR. Something more special about that meal than any of the others IMHO.

I think it is one of those things you have to do at least once, just for the experience. There really is something magical about eating in the castle, and it really is beautiful. We had a late breakfast (more like brunch) on Mothers Day, and it was my best Mother's Day ever! We enjoyed the food, and part of why I chose breakfast was it had more foods on the menu my girls would enjoy- the stuffed french toast was VERY good! You get a basket of pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, stuffed french toast and if you want more of any of it, they're happy to bring it. I found the character interaction to be wonderful and much better than our Akershus experience this time. But I really think it depends on the particular staff as our first trip Akershus princesses were attentive and didn't treat us like an assembly line like they did this last trip.

I highly recommend it at least once!

We have onlly been for breakfast but we go every trip. We love it (and I am super cheap, but it is worth it.)
We love the food, love the characters, and mostly love being in the castle.
I would think your DD would LOVE it for her birthday. My girls all love it (as does mom!)
