Well the title says it all. We are 3 ladies travelling together wanting our own bed. Yes I love having my own bed and so does the other ladies :goodvibes

Is it possible to have a cot in a Studio? i know it will be thigh... very tight but we would love DVC and hoping to save a few points by staying in a studio.

Disney does not have cots, and the space would be tight as you said. The new layout at WVL, and the VGF studios do have a 'murphy bed' drop down in addition to the queen and double sleeper sofas.

We stay in studios for the majority of our visits, and we have asked for and received a blow up bed. Twice at beach club villas and once at Saratoga springs. Brought my two teenage gran kids and they needed their own space.

oh so they have blow up beds? Where were you able to put it ?
The official policy is that they do not provide extra beds of any kind. They may have some inflatable beds, perhaps something that was left behind by another guest at some point or they may not depending on the resort. If they do, they won't have many and there may be none left when you check in.

The only studios that sleep five are GFV and VWL. Otherwise you should bring an Aerobed or other inflatable bed and some bed linens.

Guess I should have mentioned we stay in the dvc villas. Don't know if that makes a difference. We do not fold out the sofa bed, so move the coffee table and put the blow-up bed there. We just stand it up when we are not using it. I have never had a problem getting one.

Wouldn't that have been nice if instead of adding the murphy bed to all the studios they could have just bought a couple dozen or so blow up beds. :sad2:

With the way those things get holes in them, it's cheaper to put in that terrible murphy bed.

Better be prepared to "roll" out of that Murphy bed as 1/2 is under the cabinet...as an adult I wouldn't sleep on it. And there is ZERO room to put a blow up bed in GFV or WLV if the sofa is pulled out. BUT bring your own blow up bed and go to OKW studio...there would be room there, along with two queen beds...no fold outs there

Again, slim chance they "may" have one for you to use, so if you plan to use a blow up single, bring that and all the bedding with you. Of course, the Murphy bed has the bedding provided. I'm 5'2" and 130 lbs, and I wouldn't sleep in the Murphy bed. It's not as wide as a single, and I would bump my arms and head rolling over at night. OKW is your best bet for room to use a blow up.

For 3 adults I would definitely go to OKW. Two queen beds and plenty of room for an air mattress. When we did this , we put the blow up right in front of the door to the one bedroom side. It was out of the way with absolutely no crowding. No tripping over anyone during the middle of the night potty break :) My kids won't share a bed so one is always on a blow out if we aren't in a 2 bedroom. We always bring our own in one of our checked bags.

I'm 5'5 and was 200lbs at the time and slept in the Murphy bed at VGF, and thought it was fine. True, it is narrower than a regular bed and I didn't like the overhang, but I never banged into it and I toss and turn a lot, no problem. It is much easier to get ready than the sofa bed, you just need to pull it down.

I've slept on air mattresses and rolled off them, or they make funny noises, or get too hot because of the plastic. I'd much rather use the Murphy bed; it was comfortable.
