But keep in mind. They are testing people who come to a clinic/ER, etc with symptoms. There are many who probably have it and haven’t been to a doc.

From Cali..first outside of Washington. It was an elderly patient with underlying health issues. It is believed the virus was contracted on a cruise approximately three weeks ago.

That fact that for almost 2 months the world is testing at a fast pace. But somehow the CDC sees no urgency. ?? That fact the CDC took 5 days for test results. Elsewhere in the world local hospitals are doing them locally, with faster results without having to ask for permission.
The WHO had resources to test. If the first CDC batch had errors why didn’t they simply get WHO involved ? Saudi Arabia I just read had thousands of test kits flown in. It’s takes the CDC months. Are they that ignorant ?

Honestly I didn't even know about that for a long while it didn't dawn on me to think about it that way but we all kinda just hear about the numbers every year and don't normally get the context of where and what the numbers mean.
