We stayed Poly Concierge 1st week in Sept. Because we have nothing to compare it to, I'm not sure. Here are my thoughts:
Yes:
They made all of our PS's and got Cindy's breakfast without sweating a thing.
We got to use two jogger strollers for free all week. (They only have two and not many people know they have this).
Hubby loved the after dinner cordials each night. He had a Baily's & coffee each night on the balcony overlooking the lagoon.
Lot's of water.
Easy breakfast with kids-cereal & milk mostly for them, but juice muffins coffee etc.. We could do it pretty fast and get going. Plus, any time during the day we could ask for more milk and they would get it.
Refrigerator in the room.
No:
Some people think the food at dinner could be dinner. I never felt that. More like Hors' d oeuvres. But they were good-Sushi one night, spring rolls, chicken sates. My only complaint about the Poly is that it is Polynesian food each night so you are kind of sick of it by the end of the week. Maybe another hotel would have more styles of food.
I'm a wine snob so I did not like the wine selections. But, if you don't care, it's nice to come back @ 3:00, go for a quick dip with kids, come back and have a glass of wine & hors d'oeuvres @ 5:00. Change and head out to eat some place later. But-you would have to decide if that was worth it.
Its really about convenience and I can't judge that because we have not gone yet without. Hubby says it's a no brainer-it's definitly worth it. I would say if you are on the fence, having a lagoon view is definitly more important, rewarding and relaxing.
After that, if you want to treat yourself go for it.
