Is Cinderellas Royal Table worth the hefty price?

I'm sorry I know CRT is constantly being posted but I just have a question (which may seem stupid) I just noticed that it said the price was going up to $40.00 a person for dinner. My friends & I are making another trip there in summer and we're not gonna be on the DDP (we booked through a discount travel site) We all love Cinderella so much & would love to try this but we were just curious if the food was all it was cracked up to be? For me personally just being in the castle is worth it though! Are the characters actually different each night as well? Another question I have is, since my friends & I are booking it together, is it still possible for our pictures to be taken seperatly in the photo package? That way we each have an individual one? or is it one per group OR is Lunch the better idea? I looked at the menu & dinner looks yummy but we just want it to be an amazing experience for us & we're just not sure if it should be dinner or lunch?

I think it's completely worth it. We went to CRT for lunch in June and are returning later this month (lunch again). When I made my ADRs, the CM told me that there is character interaction at the breakfast and lunch, but not the dinner. According to the CM, the Fairy Godmother does some sort of show at dinner.

As far as the photos go, I'm not really sure. We took one photo as a group. I would call 407-WDW-DINE and ask.

Personally, I don't think so. I suppose my opinion would be different if I had little girls. But, my choice for seeing Cindy is to to to 1900 Park Faire at the GF for dinner. The food choices are better (strawberry soup = yummy) and you get, Cindy, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella (the sisters are a hoot!)

The show at the Castle is nothing in comparison to what goes on at 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella's Gala Feast).

Another great choice for Princesses is Akershus in Norway. Cindy is not a guarantee. You get 5 different Princesses and everyone comes to your table. We were not fond of dinner, I would suggest breakfast.

I went for lunch.....it was very nice....but I prefer the Norway princess
meal....

Said I wouldn't go again....but we will be there for my DD's 6th birthday....
I figured...WTH...I think it will be "special" to celebrate her
birthday in the castle...We are going for dinner though.

We did CRT for dinner in September. You can meet with Cinderella & pose for a picture before going to the dining room.

Upstairs, there is a small song & dance done by the fairy godmother and the mice. We saw it once during our meal so I have to assume it happens every 1 or 1 1/2.

While we loved being in the castle, the food was only OK, not great, not bad. But, if I wasn't on the plan, I wouldn't have been happy about paying that price.

I've heard better things about the breakfast here but have never done it myself.

FYI the price for CRT includes tip. With my DDE discount it is not that bad IMO

If you've never done CRT before, then maybe. If you have, then I wouldn't. 1900 Park Fair is by far a better place to eat. The "show" at CRT is nothing to brag about, where as the characters at 1900 PF are very good indeed. IMHO go for 1900 PF instead.

Personally, I would say no, unless like others have said - it's a special occasion or you desperately want to go.

We went to the breakfast, and while we had a good share of characters, we found the atmosphere not so good. It felt like they were trying to get us in and out as quickly as possible. We like to take our time over breakfast and this was the only restaurant, for our entire vacation, that we felt like we were being rushed and a pain for taking so long. It is not an experience we will be repeating this year, although the free photographs were great :-D Plus, seeing the Fairy Godmother.

We, as an all-adult group, are glad we have experience it once, and can say we ate in the castle, but we won't be repeating it. We would prefer either 1900 Park Fare breakfast and/or dinner, and the Princess Breakfast in Norway.

If you are not on the dining plan, I would avoid it. We went to the dinner and the food wasn't very good. The atmosphere was wonderful and neat, but not worth $40 a person.

I would say yes, simply as a once in a lifetime experience. We had breakfast there and the food was good, not great. But the experience was, as they say, priceless. Would we go again? Probably not. But I am so glad that we got to experience it!

We had the best table in the dining room. It was a window, in the front, that overlooked MK and we had such an amazing breakfast experience.

My son was 5 when we went. I just asked him if he wanted to go again and he was soooo excited. I think it's the thrill of being INSIDE the castle! He'll be 9 on our next trip!

I second this. The food is awesome and the character interaction here is great as well. It probably is cheaper too!

DH and I went for dinner on our honeymoon, and we thought it was excellent. After reading many mixed reviews we went in with an open mind. We thought the food was superb, and we did not feel rushed at all.

At dinner, you only see the Fairy Godmother and the mice. They celebrate special ocassions with the guests. We had a wonderful table near the window overlooking Fantasyland. It was by far one of the best parts of our trip.

We both thought the price was more than worth it. The service is excellent and the food was great! You also can't be the cost as it includes the photos and tip.

We liked it so much we're going back for our anniversary!

I have heard mention of this but where is it listed that tip is included. I checked the 2008 dining guide an no where does it list except Hoop De Do that gratuities are not included? Is it in writing somewhere ?

CRT is definitely worth it! I have eaten lunch there for the past 3 years on my birthday (and hope to do the same this summer). I love the food for lunch. I love the atmosphere of eating in the castle.

We will be trying CRT for Dinner on our next trip.
I would think breakfast would be filled with
little girls all dressed up like princesses and a very
loud. I am hoping that dinner will not be as rushed and a little
more adult. We will see and will go in with an open mind,
I have found that most reviews aren't always accurate.
We found this out with Tony's Town Square--
we had the best service and Meal of our whole trip.
If we would have listened to the reviews we wouldn't
have tried it.
I think CRT Dinner is worth trying at least once and forming your own
opinion about because you never know you may really like it.

We ate lunch there several years ago and enjoyed it. The food was okay, but it was just the fact of eating inside the castle that made it great. This of course was before they started the fixed price meals. We are planning on going this year and are going to try breakfast. My DD will get a kick out of the princesses, but for us the real draw in that you are eating a meal inside the castle. That is why it is a must do for us everytime we go.

I am sorry, but IMHO, $40 for eggs and characters is not worth the price.
