Is Cinderella's Royal Table worth the cost and the time it takes to get an ADR?

My family is planning a weeklong stay at Walt Disney World and we want to try and have a meal at Cinderella's Royal Table. My mom has seen the price and read about how hard it is to get an ADR and she is not sure. She only says she'll go through all the trouble if it's really worth it. I really want to try it, and so does the rest of my family but we are not sure if it's really worth our time and money.

Is it really worth the price?:confused::confused:
Please help!

What do you want out of the experience?

Are you expecting a great meal? Forget about it. the food is mediocre at best (I've only done the breakfast). The eggs were downright nasty.

the experience of eating in the castle? Yes. It was really special and my neice (I have sons) loved it.

Would I do it again? No. We've got the pictures and I can think of a million other things to do with 150 bucks then spend it on pancakes.

I would only do it if you had some one really into princesses.

We went for dinner in August and thought it was great. Both DW and I had the beef as well as the trio for dessert. There was nothing at all rushed about the experience (our ADR was 6:45 to give some perspective). It is much more "regal" than Akershus (where we also had dinner) with the princess announcements and the atmosphere.

As for the cost, yeah it's expensive. But where else can you have an experience like this? Nowhere. Granted we weren't on the dining plan, so OOP is only about 25% more than Akershus. Whether it's worth double the cost if you're on the dining plan is a tough call.

Still, we went specifically for DD6 and she loved it (she even managed to get two wands although I don't know how). So as to the question asked by OP, yes I thought it was worth it given how happy it made my kids.

It's our 7th time going to MK and only our first time getting a ressie at CRT. Believe me I have tried! As PP's said I am going more for the experience of eating in the castle. I still get teary eyed when I step on Main Street and see it. We are going to dinner on a MNSSHP night. That day I am taking my DD to BBB DTD to get made up. It's my DD's Birthday trip and I for one am happy we finally got CRT.

My Mom is still in the "We'll see" stage but I'm pretty sure we'll give it a try. I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun doing it if we can get an ADR.

... but I'm not clawing my way back.

We're going to try to take DD on our next trip but I'm honestly just as content to eat at Akerhaus for her Princess fill.

I think if you are someone who wants to hit all the MAJOR Disney milestones, it's definitely something to try to do. But if you're looking for a great meal, there are many better places to eat.
