Is Cinderella's Royal Table Worth It?

We went last May with ds and dd and WOW is all I can say. We really had a blast watching the looks on our kids faces. Worth every penny, as I recall food was mediocre but I don't think you go to something like this for the food.Interaction was great for us and like I said seeing my childrens faces beaming was priceless.

However, having said that, we are not going there this time. We've booked Princess Storybook instead. Mainly because this was a late planned trip and I did not want the hassle of trying to obtain ps at crt...it's so stressful...lolol

We've done both and I prefer the PSB. I really felt rushed and familyoffive is right (I'd forgotten about that). Not every parent has their children wait in line. While we waited in a line to sit on the throne with the fairy godmother a family walked right in and bypassed everyone. We all just stood there with expressions of shock, like don't you see everyone else standing here.

The tables are so close that everytime a princess came to our table the kids at the next table would stare at us and jump on thier chairs. It made us feel really rushed. The crowded entrance way downstairs didn't help. We knew people were waiting for our table.

Taking pictures was much easier in PSB. There is more room between tables.

Unless you have a die hard Cindy fan, I'd reccomend PSB above CRT.

For Hannah's Smile and Joy it was worth every penny. She still treasures the autographs she got two years ago. She did not eat a thing, and I could not have cared less. The trip was for her, the time we shared together was for me, I'd do it again. Sure it was rushed, but she did not realize that, 5 minutes is a long time for a 4 year old.

I think you pretty much summed it all up. This is why we do this character meal also.

I think this depends on your family. For us, it is priceless. My DD 4 LOVED this meal. Eating in the castle is a huge draw in itself- and breakfast is much cheaper than dinner or lunch! If you have a princess fan, you can't beat it. We have eaten here twice and had wonderful experiences each time. The princesses spent plenty of time with us both times- no less than at other character meals. And we ate there on Thanksgiving day this year- extremely busy time. I think it helps if you strike a conversation with them. My DS 2 asked Belle where Beast was- she said in the kitchen eating. He then procedded to ask what he was eating. My DD 4 asked SNow WHite how Dopey was doing. BTW- they did this completely on their own- no prompting from me ( though I might next time after I heard the conversations they began). All the princessses were fully in their character and signed autograph books, got two or three pictures made, and gave each child at least two hugs and kisses along with brief conversation. They loved it when they asked about someone from their movie. Belle also asked DD if she liked to read like her.
Now CInderella didn't have much of a conversation- just the usual how and you and hugs type of thing- but my kids didn't care- they enjoyed her.
I think expectations have a lot to do with this meal. We go for the experience- not the food. If it is good- that's a bonus. We expect it to be average and service to be decent- but nothing spectacular. I think this meal has become so coveted that people expect it to be perfect in every way and sometimes it isn't- or maybe a lot. I think it is up to what your family wants out of the breakfast. To us, nothing can beat the look on DD's face when we enter the castle, she looks out and sees Fantasyland, and then the princesses are introduced. It is worth every penny to us. (And this meal was cheaper than our lunch at Crystal Palace). However, DD4 is a huge Jasmine fan, so we may do both this trip.

Just gotta add my 2 cents worth. We did CRT two years ago with DD 6 1/2 and DS 4. We celebrated my son's birthday at that bkfst with singing by Mary Poppins and a cupcake with candle. It was really nice. My DH and I thought the food was just fine, but the kids ate very little due to the "excitement factor". We expected that. We felt that we had plenty of time with each princess and got some great pictures and video. After we had seen each princess and eaten, our server whispered to us that Jasmine and Alladin were downstairs! Well, that certainly worked to hustle our behinds out!! We're sure it was just a ploy to get people moving so that they can turn over the tables faster, but we didn't really care. We had done all that we came to do. And it got us lined up to be the first into Fantasyland when the rope dropped. And we got greeted by Mickey, Minnie, and Max as they came through the castle to start their days in the MK!

Yes, it was pricey if you think of it as just a meal..... you have to put it in the context of an "event". We are doing it again in about 10 days. Wouldn't miss it! (DD didn't even want to try PSB, as it was not in the castle!). .......................P (and I am doing the single digit dance as I type!!!!)

My 2 cents worth... not worth it if you have to get up at dawn and call for PS's and stress and worry. I only wanted to eat "in the castle". I dragged my DH, my DS age 14, and DD age 12. They thought it was "ok". Preplated breakfast food was good, as good as anywhere. I thought the castle didn't live up to my fantasy of it. I guess I was expecting something more than over-crowded, too loud, messy tables and floors, and VERY brief visits from Alice (in Wonderland) and Peter Pan. Never even saw a princess. If you can easily get a table and your kids are into princesses, then go for it, but if it's gonna cause you ANY stress, try one of the other princess meals.

I have to post on this one. I adore CRT! I have been lucky enough to do this breakfast each trip for about the last 6 years and truly enjoy it. I'm usually with another adult, and we find it just as enjoyable as the families around us do. I heartily recommend trying it at least once. The character interaction is usually very good and yeah, the food won't replace 5 diamond dining, but, then, I wouldn't expect it would.

I've also done PSB for the past two years and recommend this as well. I find it much easier to get PS's for and the food is just as good. Some duplication of characters, which different people may find good or bad if doing both. I find both to be worth the money spent.

I have a question, we have never done this before. How far in advance do you have to call for PS?? I would like to do it in our Feb. 2005 visit to WDW.

I personally think the food is great. It's just like any other character meal though. I think that once is enough to satisfy me. So would I do it again? YES! Would I get up at the crack of dawn to get a reservation? Nope...I'll try when I get up and hope for the best.

I'm sure your son will love it though.

Save time and aggravation- book the Princess Breakfast and if you insist on seeing the castle have lunch or dinner there. My DD6 adored the Princess breakfast and she spent time with Cinderella at the castle prior to dinner in the lobby. Cinderella sat on her throne telling stories and she spent individual time with every child who was in the lobby. There is no guarantee that Cinderella will be there but give it a shot.
Booking Cindy's breakfast is a full time job. I became sick and tired of the atomic clock, using numerous phones, and getting up early for an entire week just to get dissapointed.
As for the food- Don't worry about the food! You are there for the kids. They could care less about the quality. Just watching my daughter's expression when the princesses walked in was priceless! If you want your cake and eat it too go to breakfast at Boma's or Cape May Cafe.
