Is Cinderella's Royal Table worth it?

WOW!
I guess it is a personal thing. Everybody's experience is different. We have reservations on Easter sunday. I think we will probably keep them so my dd3 will get to see the castle. I have my 13 yr old niece for the day and my mom so it will probably make a wonderful memory with 3 diff generations at Cinderella's castle.
Thank you for all your opinions. I know now to have low expectations regarding food and good expectations for characters. At least she has 2 chances to meet Cindy herself.:yay:

No -- it is no longer worth it. We used 2 TS credits for lunch last September. Most definitely not worth it. If you go, at least pay OOP and use the credits for a nice dinner at CG, Jiko or Narcoosee's.

We used to love lunch at the Castle. The last time we went, we realized it's been turned into nothing more than one of the amusement rides. They line everyone up. Take photos. Seat everyone quickly. Bring out the food. Run the princesses around the room. Empty the room and repeat.

Very disappointing. 5 years or so ago, we never missed lunch at the Castle. It was a favorite for us. The food was good. There were dinner rolls and real appetizers and a choice of several desserts. The princesses spent plenty of time at each table and the waiters had time to visit and provide real service. Our boys weren't keen on the princesses, but would never miss the Castle because they always wanted to see and visit with David, their favorite waiter, who would spend time with them trade pins with them, etc.c

Now, CRT tries to get so many people in an out so quickly, that it was a true disappointment last September.

The hostess even had the nerve (the nerve!) to tell my parents (elderly and handicapped) to "Hurry up and sit down" at the table. I bristled and told her we would take as long as we needed. I purposely lingered over coffee just to upset their regimented schedule. I also complained to the manager saying the experience has deteriorated completely and is no longer worth the money.

Miserable experience. We won't bother again. And, we most definitely would not waste 2TS credits on it!

So strange. We have a very good experience in September and will probably go back this Sept. Loved the pictures. Very cute. We had lunch. Food quality was similar to all the other sit down meals we had (Tony's, Prime Time, Wave, Coral Reef). We did not feel rushed, although it did feel a little crowded. I am just not sure it is worth the two credits on the dining plan.

We did the Princess breakfast back in September and my family had done it once before back in '97 I believe. We also had lunch there one trip. My vote is for the breakfast. The food was good, nothing super impressive, but it was good. And because my DisParents have 3 of us daughters, the princesses are always a must! Getting some actual one on one time with them is definitely worth it. This past trip my mom surprised us with the chocolate slipper dessert that was personalized.

It says "Princesses Olivia, Windsor and Owen." Such a great idea if you're taking your niece and daughter. It was such a memorable moment for all of us!

Also, a plus for doing the breakfast is that you get into the MK early. So you have the perfect photo op in front of the castle without any crowds!

I would say it's definitely worth trying at least once. It's small inside but very nice, and has that magical feeling because after all it is Cinderella's castle. I enjoyed my meal (no recollection of what it was :confused3 ...sorry!!)
Last time I was there with my family we had a table right in front of the window which looks straight out towards the carousel...that was AWESOME!! Regardless of seat placement, I say go for it. Everybody has to eat at Disney World's signature landmark at least once.

Food quality similar to Tony's, Prime Time and Coral Reef.

Hmmmm, there's a ringing endorsement, if I ever heard one.

I repeat my advice. Use the 2TS credits for a meal that's worth it.

WE did lunch last December with my daughter 3 and god daughter 10. While the two girls really enjoyed the experience, the food and service was less that what I would call "Magical". The princesses spent more than enough time with both girls but the service from our server was, well,,, non existant. I actually had to ask someone to refill our drinks and a few other things because of the lack of service.

Just my .02

Anybody been to CT at dinner? Is Fairy Godmother there? Is it as rushed?

We love the idea of just being in the castle....but the food isn't really that good. We have eaten lunch and dinner. My favorite thing was the salad and deserts...Dinner was not worth it - Fairy Godmother and the mice do not visit each table. I still would like to try breakfast....

... We are on the dining plan and are using 2 table services each. I thought my dd would love the idea of eating at the castle...
The trade off of being on the dining plan is your meal cost are paid in advance in the hopes of obtaining double digit savings. To do this your children can only select institutionalized food options and you are issue meal tickets in an effort to disassociated the value of your tickets. Just calculate the cost of your TS ticket - reference the actual meal price and you have your answer. I think the 2TS meal options are designed to recover cost in favor of Disney.
