Is chocolate pudding readily available on Fantasy?

Odd question, I know. The 14 day antibiotic I got at the hospital yesterday is disgusting. I can't swallow the capsules due to esophagus problems, so the pharmacist said I could break them open and mix with applesauce or something. It's a horrible bitter taste and the pharmacist suggested that chocolate helps with the bitterness. So I've taken the past 2 doses with chocolate pudding and it's bearable. Applesauce and jello were horrible.

Am I going to have to lug 24+ pudding snack packs on the cruise or is chocolate pudding something that's on the buffet all day? I need to take it 3 times a day.

Thanks for any info. I realize I sound insane. :scared:

I know there was pudding sometimes (maybe all the time) when I was in Cabanas. I would bet that if you ask your dining room server the first night he/she would be able to get you all the chocolate pudding you wanted. Then you could keep it in your fridge in your room. Problem is you'd have to cover the first day onboard, but that wouldn't be near as many snack packs.

Another thought - how about contacting the Special needs people pre-cruise and seeing if they can help you out? Personally, I don't think it will be an issue if you wait until you board, but it might give you a little peace of mind if they can assist.

I think the ice cream idea is a good one. My best friend in high school had Cerebral Palsy in her mouth and when she had to take pills she would crush them up in ice cream. She had a hard time swallowing pills so this helped her a lot. From what I hear there is no shortage of ice cream on board. Good Luck and have a great time. :flower1:

I don't remember seeing chocolate pudding, per se, however at lunch there were often chocolate pudding-ish things on the buffet - chocolate mousse or whatnot. The ice cream is a good suggestion, and maybe another alternative would be a small cup of hot chocolate. If hot chocolate would work, that would cover you 24 hours a day, including breakfast. Ice cream wasn't available until late morning, but the drink station is always open and they will bring you hot chocolate in the dining room. Or have you tried it in coffee?

I have no clue about chocolate pudding. But I just wanted to comment that you should check if there is any restriction with regard of combining dairy with your antibiotics. I had some prescribed in the past when I was advised to not have dairy products at the same time. Better check what is the case with the ones you were prescribed!

Would chocolate ice cream work? There is plenty of that...even on Castaway Cay!

Thank you so much everyone! I'm going to try the ice cream and hot chocolate from home this week and see if it'll work. I'll also call Special Services and check with the pharmacist about the dairy. You guys are awesome!
