Hi! I have never been to Chef Mickey's before and I would like to try it on my next trip in October. I am curious though...Would you recommend it for breakfast or dinner???? How is the food? What characters will I usually find there? Thanks! :goodvibes

We have been for dinner twice and liked it. They have a good variety of American foods like carved ham and roast beef, peel and eat shrimp, lots of sides and salads, and really good parmesaen mashed potatos. It is now a must do for our family. I don't know about breakfast, but I've heard pretty good things about it too.

I prefer it for dinner.

At Dinner you will usually see Mickey, Minnie, Chip & Dale, & Pluto. I have also seen Donald, Daisy, Goofy, & Max there on occasion.

The food was very good in my book, especially for a buffet.

For a breakfast Character meal, I prefer the Crystal Palace breakfast in MK with Pooh and the gang.

We have done both dinner and breakfast and enjoyed them both equally. We usually plan either meal based on our park schedules.

We did Chef Mickey's for breakfast this year and saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale. I thought it was one of the better character meals we have had. It was't your typical breakfast food (although they had the usual scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes and Mickey Waffles). The kids loved the cereal/dessert bar! The atmosphere was nice (always neat to see the Monorail go through the hotel) and the staff was very friendly. We have never had dinner there but I'm sure it is good as well. Enjoy!!

We much prefer the breakfast over the dinner. We have always loved the breakfast, and then tried the dinner and were disappointed in the quality of the food. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

I also would vote for breakfast. We had dinner there on our last trip and were disappointed not only by the food, but by the lack of cleanliness of the serving lines. Food was slobbered all over serving tables and the floor, and no one was bothering to clean it up. Maybe just a bad night, but we wouldn't go back for dinner. Highly recommend the breakfast, though!

Another vote for breakfast!!!

We like breakfast better because they have really good breakfast food and it is a good way to fill up your bellies before a full day. Plus...we enjoy seeing Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Donald Duck, and Goofy before having a day at the parks.

The reason why we don't return for dinner is because I didn't care for the type of food they served after being in the hot sun all day. They have prime rib, shrimp and my memory escapes me about what else they have, but it's such heavy food and we just didn't want to eat it. I'd rather have a piece of pizza or a hamburger and call it a day.

Everyone has a different opinion, but breakfast is what we do.

I've been to both and I prefer dinner. The character interaction is better (at least in our experience). I also am better at napkin twirling in the evening :rotfl:

We have done both also. I am NOT really a breakfast eater, but much preferred the breakfast food to the dinner food. However, the dinner crowd was rowdier and we were seated in a better location, so for character interaction, I preferred the dinner. There was a mishap with our PS for breakfast... they didn't have it on the list but ended up squeezing us in... but not before I had to get visibly upset about it; therefore, the "magical" part of it got a bit spoiled for me. We were seated in the back where it was quieter... the waitstaff did a great job of making sure we saw all of the characters though... it was at the end of the breakfast time slot.

We prefer dinner, but we wll be having breakfast in May because it fits our schedule better. They are both good and equally fun, we just liked the dinner menu a little better.

We've done both, and we definatley prefer the breakfast over dinner.

we did breakfast last time, but are trying dinner this time b/c of our schedule....I hope we get to see Donald this time!!

We have tried breakfast and loved it. I am not a big b-fast person, so we decided to try dinner this time because we loved it so much the first time breakfast!
