Is Chef Mickey late breakfast a mistake?

My girlfriend and I LOVE the late character breakfasts. We view it was more of a brunch. When we have a late breakfast/brunch around the monorail we like to go to rope drop at MK. We do a few rides and pick up a few fast passes (usually for rides like Peter Pan's Flight and TMAOWtP). By the time we get back from our brunch the crowds are slightly smaller due to it being lunch time and our FP are in affect so we don't have to wait on long lines with full tummies.

a late breakfast at CM on our check out day. We usually shoot for 10:30. We've not had any problems with food or characters (aside from sometimes taking 90 minutes to see all of the characters). After breafast we head to DTD for last minute shopping.

This past trip I screwed up our initial ADR and we ended up with an 11:25. I liked it even better. The character interaction was quicker and better. Some of the characters came around a second time to ensure we all had a chance to see them and that was within 60 minutes. At one time we had three of the characters in the area where all of the late diners were sat. No long wait time between character greetings then.

We just moved the DTD shopping ahead of breakfast. DTD was better too since it was less crowded int he stores.

We love Chef Mickey's !!only for breakfast... I heard dinner is not worth it. We do the breakfast every trip, the past two times it was out best breakfast of the trip. Out ADR was a little earlier 9:20. We got there at 9:00am , and we were seated immediatley.

We have dined at Chef Mickey's for the past four years. Last year was the first time we had a late breakfast (10:40~) and we had an incredible time! The food was good, the character interactions were fantastic and we were thrilled that we actually had time to hit MK very early, see the Rope Drop "show," ride Snow White, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh and see Philharmagic ALL before we left to take the monorail over to our "brunch." :thumbsup2

Another reason we loved it was because we were soooo full we just did a small snack and a late, light dinner.

Additionally, I worried myself sick over our ADRs last year, after reading all of the negative reviews on various places. We had a great time and loved all of our meals, some more than others, not necessarily in line with many of the reviews on the DIS boards.

Have fun!

We had a late breakfast while there the end of May and it was great. Food was still plentiful, service was "okay" and we saw all the characters and saw one of them twice.

I say, Go, enjoy yourselves, and have a wonderful trip.
