Couldn't agree more. It's cheap and shows a lack of care and imagination to just carbon copy from Anaheim. There are hundreds of others great ideas they could put into action.
If they bring it to the Studios would they bring the test track type ride? Seems strange to have 2 of the same rides so close to each other. (I know they have 4 spinning Dumbo type rides but this is different) All for they if thier "big" ride will be something new.
Yeah I agree. Although I have to say, I would love World of Colour to come somewhere to WDW. I have no idea where they would put it though. The only place that would work with the lake would be Epcot or DHS lake for Fantasmic, but that would mean getting rid of Illuminations or Fantasmic and that just CAN'T happen.

The Cars universe next sequel will be "planes", scheduled for 2013 in theaters.
What better opportunity than to make some "soarin'" like attraction, based on the cars/planes universe.
It could definitely compete with the flying broom experience at WWoHP
So it doesn't necessarily have to be a carbon copy. There might be a huge opportunity here, with a brand new E-ticket.
And since WDW cannot use the Marvel license, and is in direct competition with universal ... well, the rumour might be confirmed once they have yield figures for the upcoming "planes" movie.
Until then, WDW still has a lot in store with the completion of new fantasyland.
So a "carsland" would be a bit dated if it was carbon copied in a few years. But a renewed cars/planes land would nicely fit into the picture for projects after 2013/14
We've just got back from LA and spent two days at DL. Carsland was one of the highlights for us. We only did the ride once, but the the whole area had such a nice feel about it. Disney have done a really good job designing and building it, you really feel that you are out in the desert amongst the mountains and canyons, even though it was packed with people. The ride itself is quite similar to Test Track at Epcot - a slow indoor ride with a final outdoor blast, this time a 'race' around the desert.
For that reason, I can't see it coming to Epcot, unless it was to replace TT
