My two love seafood and that is always their request when making ADR's. We tried Coral Reef last year and were not impressed. So this year we have ADR's for Captain Jacks, Fultons Crab house was not on the Dinning Plan and a little too much for our budget. However, we are questioning now if we should cancel it we will be making a special trip to DTD we had not planned to go that night. Any opinons on if it is worth a special trip to DTD when we would rather be at the parks? Thanks!

I would not make a special trip...We really enjoyed our dinner and could not believe how expensive it was and we did not pay a penny because it was on the plan...We all got the lobster and thought it was very good....We also liked the setting...It is nice to look out the window at the water and the boats...We all that said, I still would not make a special trip if you were planning to go to DTD...I would fear that you would be unhappy with it for some reason (many people do not love it there) and you would be upset that you missed that time you could be doing other things...We always plan one half day in DTD...That is why we went....

Maybe you should go to Cape May Cafe for the Clam Bake...It is in the Beach Club which is a five minute walk from Epcot...You can go to Epcot, leave for dinner, then come back after you eat...It might be a nice break from the park...I really cannot think of another place in the parks that would have good seafood...The buffet food at Cape May is also just good, not great.

We always have the first nights meal at Capn Jacks in DTD. We love it. My husband likes the lobster tails and I get the pot roast. Our flight comes in too late to go to a park so after we check in we head to DTD. We eat and shop a bit than back to the resort to unpack. Our lagguage is always in our room by the time we get back.

I wouldn't make a special trip to DTD for Captain Jacks. If you happen to be there then its an OK meal. Not great, but certainly OK.

No. I definitely would NOT make a special trip. I probably won't eat there again. Their food prep is spotty at best. Some times ok, other's downright nasty. Inconsistent.

I will second everything here. Captain Jacks is good if you are on the DDP and want lobster but otherwise the menu is kind of limited. We will eat there on our first night and combine it with shopping at DTD.

Have ate there several times food and service always very good some people like it some don't you need to try it for youself everybodys is different so try it for yourself you may like it or not like. Just like some like Jikos we don't

Not even if it were free. That has to be the worse restaurant I have ever eaten at in or out of WDW.

I've never eaten at Capt Jack's, but Narcossee's has wonderful seafood and it is on the dining plan worth 2TS credits. DH and I split the whole lobster & filet mignon last Sept and it was wonderful.

I had a mixed experience there. The crab cakes to start were fantastic, but the entree of salmon was inedible, it was dried out beyond belief. So overall it was a below par experience and we won't be going back.
