I unfortunately missed Capt.Jack's performance outside the POTC ride on my trip in July. My mom saw, and thnkfully took pictures for me. I am a HUGE Captain Jack and POTC fan. I want to make sure I don't miss getting a picture with him next time we go to WDW. So, is his act a permanent feauture at MK now? Can you get pictures with the CM, or is it just the show? Does anyone have showtimes for it? Or, is there any other locations beides outside POTC where I can see him? Any info would be very much appriciated. pirate:

I hope so! We were so sad when we went in May and the POTC was closed. That alone makes me so excited for our next trip!

I don't know if it's still running (I hope so because I go again in Dec!!). You don't get pictures with Captain Jack as he sneaks into the show and runs away from it, but it is well worth seeing (especially if it's the cute Jack!). I didn't see any showtimes on the map, but we did ask other CMs in the area and were able to get the showtimes from them. I think the first one was at 10:30. I don't know of any other locations that you can see Jack.

Not sure if it's permenant, but it should be around for a while atleast. The new Pirates ride just opened, so I would think they'd keep the show for a year or so. And you can only take pictures of him, not with him, unfortunatly!

We caught the end of it last week (just a bit before Jack runs away).
For what it's worth, it is featured in the video they show on the resort TV preview channel. They don't talk about it, but do show video of it as one of the special things that happen at the parks.

Thanks for the info guys...I'll need to go on a quest to see what concrete details I can get about it... I cannot believe you can't get pictures with him! That's a heart-breaker, for sure. I am positive in on person's signature there was a pic of her and Captain Jack. I'll have to find her and ask.

I know which one you're talking about. I think she had said it was taken on Castaway Cay while they were on a cruise.

We were there on Saturday and caught part of the 10:30 show and all of the 11:30 show. It is fantastic and a definite must see! I sure hope they keep it as it's really popular and the kids get to be involved as well.

There is nothing I wan more than a picture with Captain Jack! When we were on a trip, a man in one of the gift shops ws semi-dressed as Jack and I got a pic with him, but it's just not the same...

I'm still praying that someday, they'll make Jack Sparrow a meet-and-greet character at WDW, just like they did at DL.

Just wanted to add that you can check the times board on Main Street and that will let you know what time the Pirate show will be going on. A cast member at Downtown Disney told us that, and when we went to MK, we checked and found the times that the show was going on. We loved the show and got some great pictures of Capt. Jack!

You will need to check the board on Main Street. I think their was 4-5 shows a day. The first one was at around 10am. We asked a few character attendants about meeting Jack and we got the same answer over and over again: Jack dioesnt do meet and greet. He wasnt even out for the MNSSHP (only in the parade). I have hope that he might do meet and greet at the new Princess and Pirate parties????? :goodvibes

I hope as one person said that it lasts for at least one year. this way we will be able to see it in March!! Crossing my fingers!!

I think he'l be around for a bit.. after all, Potc:3 comes out next year. More advertisement for Disney. ;)

Just saw it today. Well...part of it. Didn't stick around for the whole thing. IT was too hot.

Jack looked shorter and a tad heavier, he had blue eyes, fair skin, and his beard was a little lighter than I remembered. When I get home, I'll try to post a picture. I didn't expect an identical Jack, but a closer match would have been nice. Oh, well.

Never saw times posted. I just happened to be going by shortly after the show started.

just remember they are not trying to look like depps protrayal of Sparrow, but to actualy look like jack sparrow. Depp is just the person who plays him in the films but he is not the actualy jack sparrow.
