There are just three adults in my group; me, DH and his dad. Since I had to throw a character meal in, I chose the Cape May Breakfast. DO you think this is a good choice for just an adult character dining experience?

We ate at Cape May last November and really, really enjoyed it. The characters were great as was the food and atmosphere. I think that you will all have a terrific time!:)

We (me, DH, FIL, MIL, and SIL - all adults) ate there at the beginning of the month! I think it is definitely a good choice for adults because it didn't seem chaotic and the food was really good.

Have fun! :goodvibes

Personally, I didn't care for it as much as the other character meals I've been to, but that was mainly due to issues I had with the service, though I didn't think the food was anything amazing either. I much prefer the food and service at Crystal Palace.

This will be our third time there. We really like it. The food is good & it's not too crazy busy.

Cape May Cafe character breakfast is absolutely a good option for adults! DH and I always stay at the Beach Club and we have to eat here on every trip! One time, we had my in-laws with us, so we've been there with 2 adults and 4 adults. The food is great, we've always had good service, and the character interaction is awesome! Also, we like this character breakfast better than some others because it's not as loud and crazy.

It's definitely not as loud as any of the other character breakfasts I have been to. If you're looking for a more low-key character breakfast, then yes, this one is great for adults. I think though that all the character breakfasts are fine for just adults and would go even if I didn't have kids.

Crystal Palace also has an excellent character breakfast, with delicious food, great service, and it has a beautiful atmosphere as well. Our favorite character breakfast of all is 1900 Park Fare (in the Grand Floridian). They had some more unique foods on the buffet (lobster eggs benedict; bananas foster syrup for the french toast for example) as well as traditional breakfast foods, the food was all very delicious and the restaurant is beautiful too, as well as the Grand Floridian lobby!

If, however, you are looking to see the "classic" characters, Cape May will give you Minnie, Goofy and Donald. Another option for the classics would be Chef Mickey's, which has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald. We thought the food was excellent there, but it is definitely louder and has more excitement than Cape May. To me, Chef Mickey's is the perfect character meal because I enjoy all that excitement that comes with it.

As far as the food at Cape May, it is delicious! Service was also excellent! Again, it all depends on the overall experience you are looking for, and which characters you would like to see, if that specifically is important to you.

We ate breakfast at Cape May twice during our last trip and we plan to eat there twice during our next trip because it is fabulous! The food was top notch, the service was attentive and the characters were so much fun. It is also a much more relaxed atmosphere than most of the other character meals on property so I think it is a great choice for an all adult group.

Character dining is geared for kids. If you do not have kids, you will not enjoy it as much. The food on the buffet is not up to disney standards. The food is mixed because the kids want to get it themselves without help. If you are at at table with adults only, the character's will likely bypass you.

Most definitely worth it with just adults. My whole family loves this breakfast...funny thing, I just last night suggested that we should do CM instead since we switched over to the CR, my DH looked at me like I had two heads and said "No way, I love that place we are not changing it for anything" :rotfl:. He loves the food, the fact that we can just walk over to Epcot afterwards, and the characters are awesome.

I don't agree with what the PP said about how the characters won't go to the tables with just adults. Even though we do have kids with us, I do see the characters having just as much fun with the adults as they do with the kids (especially Donald and Goofy)....sometimes I think they have more fun with the adults because the adults interact with them a lot more and do not shy away from them like the kids do at times.

DH and I have done Crystal Palace, Cape May Cafe and Chef Mickey's for breakfast (the kids haven't traveled with us since 2004). Our favorites are Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe. Cape May has slightly better character interaction and doesn't feel as "busy" as Crystal Palace. We also did Cape May and Crystal Palace with our best friends two years ago and they preferred Cape May because they got to see Minnie.

Can't say I agree with this. I've never been bypassed at a character meal, and the characters will stop at every table. Aside from Boma, Crystal Palace is my favorite buffet on property, and I've thought dinner at Chef Mickey's was pretty good as well. And the breakfast at Akershus is wonderful. And kids mixing the food could happen at any buffet, that's lack of parental control if that happens.

I disagree that the characters will bypass you. Every year for the last five visits, we have gone to CP and/or Cape May and we have had our pictures taken with every character that appeared.

I have to disagree. We eat here at least once per trip and often it is just DH and myself. Characters always stop for photos. Minnie helped me color one day. Absolutely one of our favorite breakfasts on property. It doesn't get all the hype of Chef Mickey's and it's not in a park, so I think a lot of people pass it it by.

Absolutely disagree. The food on the breakfast buffet was at least as good as the other TS breakfasts we've been to, all the characters stopped and posed with both of us (although one of them--forget who, I think Donald--was a bit perfunctory about it), and I didn't notice anything getting mixed together except the cereals a little bit. They put out really small portions at a time, so they get changed frequently.

Cape May has two identical hot lines (the bread pudding and the marinated asparagus are probably the highlights, but they also have great eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, breakfast pizza, etc.), then the two ends of the buffet. One end is fruit and yogurt (like a make-your-own bar with a couple yogurts and several toppings), the other end has pastries and dry cereal. It's not an enormous selection, but certainly a pretty good variety compared to your average pancake house, and all of good quality.

We were seated right next to the buffet and our meal was still quiet and peaceful.
