Is BLT2 a real thing???

I've heard it mentioned several times in various posts over the years.

So, what 's the scoop? Is it an idea that was scrapped or just speculation.... or wishful thinking?

Bay Lake Tower was built on the location of the Contemporary's North Wing because the ground is stable enough there to support the weight of BLT tower.

Reportedly, the ground on the South Wing is not as stable, and Disney would have to dig deeply to reach bedrock, making it a more expensive location to build on. The last I heard, there are no plans to build a structure as heavy as the BLT tower on the site of the South Wing.
