DVC news doesn't seem up to date on prices so wanted to check the new purchaser price of BLT at the 50 point buy in.

Also is there a closing cost if buying direct from Disney?

Thanks

I believe that the $6.00 discount is for current members adding on at the 50 point level.

If Disney is still offering this to new buyers, I think that they pay the full price for a contract that low.

IMO, I don't think this info is listed because it was never something that was really touted to new buyers this past summer. I think if someone mentioned wanting to get in with less points, they were allowing it, but I didn't seem like they were officially changing the minimum as many posted here that they were not told about it before they asked.

Best bet is to call a guide and get up to date information as things change all the time.

As of 2 weeks ago...

Currently BLT DVC Incentive is.....

1-199 pts. = $8. discount (per pt.)
200-299 pts. = $10. discount.
300 + = $12. discount
PLUS..... "free" 2009 points (matching what you buy)... last week were also being gven out as an additional purchase perk.

The closing cost is one set price...think its about $225-250. and doesnt matter how many pts. you buy.

I would suggest getting an "Official Answer" from a/your DVC guide!![/B]

I just bought 100 pts at BLT and there were no 2009 added on. Just the discount on points.

Dunno if this helps, but as of two days ago the incentive at 250 points was a total of $12 ($10 right off the bat, and then an extra $2 if you asked for it), along with the "free" 2010 points carrying over.

As my guide just explained to me. It depends on when your use year is. For me its February so it wouldn't benefit me. If I decided to add on in January 2011, then the 2010 points would have been incurred.

If you buy direct from Disney, there are no closing costs. Purchased an add-on in January and another in July. Just had to pay the cost per point period.

That's true for add-ons, but first time purchasers DO have closing costs.
