Is Behr paint good?

What interior paint do you recommend. Do they have good colors, does it last, and how much did it cost per gallon.

We buy the Behr paint from Home Depot, it is good paint. I have had no complaint over the years.

Have to agree here and I also like the Sears paint, I really wasn't all that impressed with Behr and I didn't like how it goes on..........especially the ceiling paint! And quite honestly I have used the stuff from Walmart (Dutch Boy) and I felt it did a good job too, they have 3 different grades of it if I am thinking correctly!

Love Behr paints.
Have done our whole interior with it. From Home Depot....about $16 or so a gallon.

Keep in mind that every paint store these days has a color matching system so every paint line has every color really.

I have used Behr only once and that was helping a friend, we don't live near a Home Depot. I was impressed by how well it covered. I am partial to Benjamin Moore but Behr wasn't really any different and it actually covered better for the first coat the the BM stuff does.

I did my whole house in Behr paint. It covers really well and it has lots of colors. I did a burnt orange color in the living room and a grasscloth color in the kitchen and a deep purple in the guest bedroom and a taupe in the master bedroom and then i did a faux finish from home depot in the other bedroom. Really a lot to choose from.

Behr has excellent coverage, and they have a great color collection. We used Behr in some of our rooms, and Frazee in others. I've been very happy with both. I think we paid around $25 a gallon, and we usually get the satin finish.

I found Behr to be drippy...then again, I don't exactly follow directions on drying in between coats.

If you do your checking, you will find that Behr got some of the very highest marks from Consumer Reports and other Consumers Research companies online.

It is at Home Depot and they are great...you don't have to stick with whatever color they show..they can mix anything you wish!

Behr has a great website. We've been looking at a lot of colors to go into potential rooms. It's great fun designing rooms on their website.

In the past year, I've purchased Glidden, Behr and Duron. DH loves the Glidden, but I like the Behr better and the Duron is great.

Good colors, spreads nice and easy. Home Depot has the Disney Colors, and that's why I got it. My bathroom is done in Main Street Lights. I'm not a yellow person at all, but this color turned out so nice that I went with a Behr green to do my son's room. They color matched his pillowcase for me.

We have friends who are professional painters (and very successful) and they use Benjamin Moore or Dutch Boy. They do not think highly of Behr.

We've always used Dutch Boy. The last time we bought Behr, it seemed to splatter a lot, but it may have been bad luck on our part. The one thing we've noticed about DB is that it's thicker than some of the other brands out there, so we've been able to get away with painting one coat only. But if you do pick any darker colors like red or deep blues, etc., you'll have to paint at least 2 coats if not more. One time we did a red & had to paint the room 4 times to get the color we were looking for. Never again!

I have painted for years (I'm probably one of the few that truly enjoys the task) and have always had good luck with Behr paint.

My painter prefers Behr & Glidden. We have had him use both in our home & we're happy. We also like the Satin finish. We had flat (that's what the builder used) & it was so hard to wash anything off the wall. Now with the satin finish, it's so easy to wipe it down if there is a dirty little handprint.

No. Check Consumer Reports - they give it a very bad rating.

Behr is okay, but we really prefer the American Heritage Paint from Lowes. A family friend who is a painter recommended it. It goes on so much better (especially for amature painters like us!) and you don't need multiple coats most times. We used Dutch Boy in DD room after we had used American Heritage paint, and it was just awful - took multiple coats, and just seemed so much harder to work with.

We must be looking at different Consumer reports results...?

Anyway, there are so many different types of paint within each brand..some get better ratings than others......not ONE brand is BEST in ALL categories.

Anyway, it looks as if you should buy what YOU think is best for you and if it doesn't work try something else out....Trial and error...

That is what makes the world go round....different opinions for different people...we all have our own
