Is Beaches and Cream worth altering plans for?

I have planned a B&C lunch in between a morning at MK and an afternoon at Epcot on one of the days of our January trip. The issue is that I have only been able to get a 12:30 ADR and that pushes the start of our Epcot afternoon later than I would like. I've been trying to move the ADR earlier without success for a few weeks. I'm starting to wonder whether B&C is really worth it. It was on my list mostly because I thought it would be fun for my 6-year-old, but he'll only care about the ice cream.

Is B&C worth altering our ideal touring plans for or not really anything that special?

I don’t think so. We’ve been but only when we were staying at BC. It’s fun, the food is diner food but good, and the ice cream is good but we would never travel to have it. I think you can get the small mickey pants ice cream sink at the ice cream place on Main Street.

It's nice, but not worth altering important plans.

I don't think it is, but if you really want to go check the day before for a better time. Seriously, I was shocked at how many times were available during Thanksgiving week!

Thanks everyone! I changed our FPs in Epcot to earlier in the day and will keep an eye out for an earlier B&C ADR, but we can just grab a QS lunch if that doesn’t work out. I think we’ll be happier getting to Epcot earlier.

No, not worth it for lunch - just like most fast foods places, except for the restaurant and surrounding ambiance. Love to stop in for a sundae, but would never personally go for a meal.

No - in fact feel like its over rated in some ways. The food is just ok; best burgers on property I found are at the GF.

B&C is a cute little place and I do like the food (burger joint), but it's not so special that it's worth going out of your way for. Just my opinion.

A couple years ago when we were there in Jan, I was able to get a lunch ADR at B&C the morning of, so I would keep checking. It's a fun place but I agree with everyone else that it isn't worth revolving your whole day around it.

Another thing to consider -- that would be a heavy lunch before heading to a park for touring -- especially if ypu have something like the No Way Jose. I know I wouldn't feel great if I ate all that ice cream and then went straight onto rides.

If all you want is ice cream, I agree that Ample Hills has better product. But to be honest, if I want a sundae, I prefer a No Way Jose from B&C to the sundaes at Ample Hills. The Ample Hills ice cream just seems better served simply so you can get all the nuances of the flavors. To me, a sundae is all about the toppings and add ins and the ice cream just needs to be an adequate base to support them.

I like B&C (I'm a grilled cheese and tomato soup fan), but if your time in Epcot is more important to you, a quick stop at Ample Hills or the French pavilion for ice cream will give you the best of both worlds.

Back in the days when you could just walk up any time and sit down, it was a decent lunch with a neat ambiance. ADR? No way it's worth going out of one's way for, IMO.

Nope. It;s just burgers etc and ice cream. You can get those anywhere in the parks.....

No.

Do you live anywhere near a Friendly's? Much better.

Have lunch in Epcot somewhere - much better options. Get ice cream in France.

I'm seconding this. I went to B&C on my last trip and all I could think while I was eating there was "I can get better sundaes at Friendly's back home."
