Is beach club contact expiration really 2042?

We really want a home resort thT has studios that sleep 5, which limits us to:
Boardwalk
Beach club
Boulder ridge
Grand flo
Polynesian

You might also wait to see if they add the murphy bed to the SSR studios and make the occupancy 5. And from your list as pointed out BWV, BCV and BRV all have 2042 expirations.

I can't help but wonder what percentage of BCV owners are original direct purchasers. This is completely anecdotal, but on the Frenemy boat this past summer, I talked to an owner who has owned at BCV since it was first offered by DVD and she had used her points for cruises, ABD, RCI etc.; she was excited to share with me how I have the ability use my points to travel all over the country/world.

Yeah. I don't know the breakdowns. I would say anyone purchasing BCV in the last 5+ years has purchased to stay there, and any resale turnover from here onward is definitely for home resort. Owner trade likely puts most of the equivalent inventory into cash, because it'd be defensible for Disney to take BCV inventory based on BCV points traded. Owner neglect (expiring points) and owners using at 7 months elsewhere frees up actual BCV inventory for points, but hard to say how much.

We are an original BCV owner. We paid $67 a point for 400 points. I know there was some sort of incentive with it. Can’t remember. I remember thinking, yikes that’s a lot of money. Now I can’t believe the deal we got!

I subscribe to the "buy where you want to stay" publication. If you have stayed at the Beach Club, love it, and would not want to be shut out for the hard to get times of year, then don't let that 2042 date mess with your mind. However, if you find one of the other locations with a longer contract to be equally enticing then you might want to give it some thought.

A point to note, and that I'm concerned with not just with you, but many others with young families, is that all too often families are looking for that 5 in a studio thing. Been there, done that with 4 and it gets awfully crowded as the kids grow. Even with just 3 of us those studios were hard to manage. Take into account that your kids will not always adore having mom and dad in the same room as them as they grow, and vice versa.
