Is BCV that bad?

BWV has wonderful views and nothing beats the OVIR at VB or the savanna rooms at AKV.

hello, my good friend... haven't seen you for a while... You are right that nothing beats the VB OVIR, but we have seen it so many times that we now want to stay in a 1 bdrm with a kitchen... So, we will pass up the view for the amenities... Just an evolution I think...

Starbox is the original VB lover's thread author and originator of the VB chair swap....

Can't tell you how much I look forward to her posts.... brilliant...

Rob, good to see you back, even if it is just for a quick visit. Hope everything is going great for you!!

I'll be at BCV in 8 days (staying at CR for the weekend). It will be our first visit and we'll be deciding on whether we'll be doing an add-on here or BWV sometime later in 2009.

Thanks, anonymousegirl... I am greatful to have DIS friends like you... Glad to be back...

pixiedust: :firefight :firefight Now I'm on fire for the BCV! What a beautiful property, and so close to the great food at Epcot!:goodvibes

Cant Wait to be there:drive: :moped:

This thread is dangerous! It's giving me add-on-itis and I haven't even stayed at AK yet lol.
Just curious, is it ever possible to get a reservation at BWV or BCV at the 7 month mark?

We did get a reservation at BCV at the 7 month mark, for this May. :)
It is possible.

Possible yes, but getting harder and it will only get worse as the membership increases. Buy where you love to stay.

Well my DH and I are total view people....thats why we bought at BWV, BLT, and Vero Beach. We don't do the parks commando......we are rather wine and cheese people (can we say F&W Festival!) and do love a view from our balcony. To each his own!:coffee:

DITTO!! :thumbsup2
sitting on a BW view balcony with a glass of wine in hand, watching the fireworks, the people, the BW activity...........that balcony is one of our favorite things about vacation :cloud9:
we had EPCOT views at BCVs, & like others, were not pleased about the road view/sound (coffee & listening to the BW quiet in the AM is amazing). relaxing & enjoying what WDW has to offer besides park attractions keeps our vacations so pleasurable.
on a side note, we've little interest in visting hawaii (remote areas by the ocean, or in africa enthrall us, however) ~ thank goodness for choices :)

We love BCV! We have never had what I consider a bad view. Last summer we had a 3rd floor pool view room and loved it. We are going back over Christmas and can't wait!!!:)

I stayed there once before and had a view of the trees. That is not why I bought in to the beach club DVC i bought into it for SAB and that the resort was just so beautiful. The way i figure it i am never in the room but to sleep anyway so why waste a good view..LOL

I just called on Sat. for a studio at BCV from 8/16-23 and there was 1 night not available. I booked BWV instead and waitlisted BCV...I checked the DVC website yesterday and we already had our waitlist come thru!:) It will be our first stay there too. This was our first time waitlisting and I'm thrilled that it came thru that fast!
