Is BBB "worth it" for my 3 year old?

We will be at Disney at the beginning of Feb. and my dd is really into dressing up and wearing makeup. I was thinking of doing the full on makeover complete with accessories...but it just seems really pricey.

For those who have done this, are the dresses/shoes of good quality. Also is the interaction good or is it super rushed?

Also is there even a chance that reservations are left?

Thanks :)

Yes, it is pricey. We did it when our girls were 3 and 5 and felt like it was totally worth it. The dresses and shoes are of great quality and my girls, now 7 and 9 still try to stuff themselves into them. :rotfl2:

You get to keep all of the makeup used, so your DD will probably like that.

We did not think it was rushed at all. You get a fairy godmother in training who is very attentive and good with the kids and makes them feel very special.

We also loved the pictures we got with the package!

We loved it!! :goodvibes

I would say wait til she is a little older. In speaking with my granddaughter this weekend it is amazing that she really does not remember much from when we took her at age 4 (she is 11 now) But she remembers alot at 6 8 10. So i would wait.

Totally worth every penny IMHO. DD9 has done it 3 years in a row (the most expensive package). Now this year she didn't want too (breaks my heart). So enjoy every moment while it lasts. On 1 visit the Fairy Godmother arrived during her visit and paid a special visit to each girl so we got additional special pictures. Last year just as we were waiting to pay the bill Cinderella's Stepmother arrived and she was awesome. We got some terrific pictures and she made a point to visit each girl. Just a nice touch, I'm not sure how often that happens. The dresses, etc we bought seemed to be great quality and still look like new. The photographers next door for the package were excellent and we received beautiful pictures. If you can afford it, I say plurge:thumbsup2 I don't think you'll regret it. DH balked a bit the first time when he found out it was $200.00 but then he agreed it was worth it and never complained after that!

I too am taking my DD (3) for her first trip and BBB appointment and didn't even think of these issues! I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long the appointment usually takes. We have an appointment scheduled at 2pm and just learned our nieces' dance performance is between 2-5 the same day. Just hoping we can keep our BBB appointment and not miss too much of the performance. Thanks in advance!

I would totally do it and I think 3 is the perfect age to do it. Then again at 5 and then again at 7, which will probably be the last time she'll want to do it.

We were one of those families who waited to take the kids until they were a little older so they would remember. I now regret that decision, because some memories are worth it more for you than the child. Little girls really embrace being a princess when they are 3 to 5. As they get older, they will still enjoy it, but not as much as when they are younger.

So although your daughter might not remember getting transformed into a princess when she was three, you'll cherish that day seeing her walk around in her gown with her hair all up. You'll see her dance and twirl around with joy. You'll see her glow when CMs call her princess. You'll have the adorable pictures to cherish for years to come.

My daughter was 7 when she got her makeover and she totally loved it. But if I could reverse time, I would go back and take her when she was 3 as well. You can always do it again, but you can never go back and do it differently the first time.

My 3 year old did it. Loved it. The hair styles are terrible though. Wish they offered something more natural looking.

I hate to say this, but mid-day is extremely busy with wait times varying from 30-60 min. to get into the chair. From there, you'll have about another 30 minutes for the "transformation." LOL I would recommend rescheduling to earlier in the day.

My daughter got to do this twice. Our first appointment was mid-day and it took forever to get in. Our second time, we scheduled it for 9-9:30 if I remember correctly. We still had a wait, but more like 10-15 min.
