Is Bambi represented in the parks at all? My and DD LOVE Bambi. When I went to WDW as a very little girl and got to pick my one souvenier, it was a thumper.:)

I don't remember a lot of Bambi souvinears but we did meet Thumper and his girlfriend. Who I can't find a name for :confused3

ETA we met Thumper and his gal in the Animal Kingdom near the Lion King show. There were a lot of characters there, sorry I'm not as familiar with that park so I don't know the official name. We walked through that area to go to the show.

There really isn't much.

And this also makes me very sad, I love Bambi.

Right now, during the Flower and Garden festival, they typically have some "flowers" of Bambi and Friends. In the past they have typically been in Canada somewhere; this year they are in with the Butterflies own in Future World.

I am also a huge Bambi fan and have to say that WDW doesn't have much on this character.

Thumper was a real treat to meet last year at AK. He was so cute, kept thumping his foot. Just adorable. :cloud9:

Other than the topiary that Epcot puts out, I didn't see anything else.

Even the gift shops don't have much. The only thing I found was a large snowglobe with bambi and all the characters at the World of Disney store...in 2009. Bought it for my bday present to myself.

Sorry to say, I think WDW is missing $$$ by not promoting this classic character.

I agree! Bambi, to me, is among the best of the Disney movies. Nostalgic for adults, and kids love it too. Even my very young daughter, who is WAY more into Toy Story and Nemo, and gets easily bored by other Disney movies, LOVES bambi. I think its a real crowd pleaser and I'm so sad that I won't get to meet Thumper. Which is weird, cause I don't care about meeting 98% of characters.

Bambi is often seen running around by the parking lots of MK! :lmao:

Very true. While on the monorail from the TTC to Epcot, we were very pleased to see three deer freely wandering around Disney grounds. Only saw them once but there are deer living naturally at Disney World.

I'm thinking I saw a stuffed Bambi in the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom.

My son was dragging me through the gift shop in an attempt to speed up my shopping but I'm pretty sure I caught a glimpse of a shelf with some on it.

As others have already mentioned, there's a very nice "Bambi"- themed area in Epcot's Flower Festival, and Thumper and his girlfriend sometimes appear as costumed characters. (Not to mention the wild white-tails as well, heh.) There must be another nod to Bambi in AK somewhere? I get that the logistics of making a bipedal costumed character of Bambi is... problematic. It's just weird that there isn't much mention of him at the parks. After all, many animation historians have made excellent arguments that "Bambi" is the one animated Disney film you can point at and say, "this is where the in-house Disney style was born".

They had a baby stuffed Bambi with a blanket in the stores. There may have been other plush Bambi's.

I think I recall a charm Bambi. You daughter might enjoy collecting them for a necklace or bracelet.

I have seen quite a bit of Bambi merch outside of WDW lately to promote the re-release. My daughter loves Bambi as well. Will probably see some more stuff in the shops I would think.

I am almost certain I saw a bambi on the train around mk. If memory serves me right it was on the right hand side between main street stop and frontier land.
