Is Ariel's Grotto worth the money?

For our family yes, we like the break, we like the Princesses, we liked the food. Will we go back? With 2 kids, yes, we will definitely go back. :)

yes i do have to say it costs alot but with the new menu i will say its worth it. I really hated that i didnt like the food last time. I loved the charcters they were so nice and even let cap bane take one with aroura by him self hehe she was so nice even to this adult boy lol
also dont forget 32 for the pics i didnt know about it last time but this time i do I recomend them if you have the extra money

Jade, we have a picture of DBF with his favorite Princess, Jasmine. He loves her and she asked the girls if she could take a picture with their King so he was all happy. All day he kept saying "remember, I'm the King" LOL I should put that pic on his My Space.....LOL

So, are they upping the prices to go with the new menu?

idk if they are upping it i know if you eat out side you can pay 2dollers less. lol i made ps for lunch today and she said 12noon out side. i said no id really like to be in side. she said 3pm lol well it will be more like dinner

Hmm, we ate outside in July and the price was the same....weird. That must be new as well. :)

We ate at Ariel's Grotto for lunch on Friday and it was NOT worth the pricetag. The food was lukewarm at best (the children's food was congealed and yucky looking--they ordered the shells). I ordered the herb crusted chicken and the flavor was good, but it really wasn't warm enough. The dessert platter was lovely though.

Our PS were for outside, but when we arrived, they allowed us to sit inside for an additional charge of $2 per person. It was super hot, so we went for it.

All the princesses came by within the first 10-15 minutes of our meal and we felt very rushed with them...that was really disappointing.

I took pictures of my meal, the dessert platter, and the menu--but I'm still editing pictures.

The $2 fee for inside just started Wednesday with the new menu. Dissarak, what can you tell us about the starter tray?

Each tier of the starter (there are three tiers) is a plate that is between the size of a bread plate and a dinner plate.

The top tier has small rectangles of fruit gelatin (some with strawberries and some with apples), a few thin slices of watermelon, and I think there were strawberries on there too.

The middle tier had the antipasti--a single spiral of salami, pepper slices, string cheese slices, gherkins, etc.

The bottom level had a very full plate of salad--it came with the dressing already on it, which I didn't realize would happen. I would have requested no dressing had I known that.

I say yes...absolutely! We took my dd and niece back in '06 and we were able to get most of the autographs with the exception of one or two. MUCH easier than trying to track them down in the park! I had a yummy pasta dish with a light cream sauce. I'd definitely eat there again. :thumbsup2

That sounds better than what they used to have as the starters. That onion "soup-broth" with a crouton didn't cut it for DH who likes lots of gooey cheese on his french onion soup

We've been many, many times. It has been worth every penny to avoid lines for the princesses. My daughter has now hit an age where she no longer cares if she sees the princesses, so we will head to Goofy's or PCH Grill (Lilo and Stitch) instead.
