Is apple sauce considered a dessert in childs meal?

I don't think it is considered the dessert because I know for a fact that at Cosmic Ray's my DD got a chicken finger meal and in it was applesauce, but she also got a chocolate brownie as well. That is just one place that pops into my head, but I know she had it with her meals at several other places I just cannot remember where. She hates applesauce so I always took it off her tray and fed it to her baby sister and I remember doing it several times..
