I would SO be in jail. I can't believe how those kids hit their Mom and she just caves in to them bullying her. I usually don't get frustrated watching tv but I just want to scream.:sad2:

Yes! I want to knock their little heads off of their shoulders!!!

If I would have acted like that to my grandmother (she raised me) she would have torn my backside up!! I knew better!

Mostly I feel sad for those children. I am saddened and angry that their Parents molded and shaped these children to behave in this manner by not providing structure and discipline for 11 and 8 years respectively. Of course this is how they react when rules are given and enforced. That mother allowed that behavior because it was self serving for her in some way.

talk about a family.....those are the ones that you pretend you are not home when they do the sneak attack...DON'T CALL FIRST... (no really we always leave our tv on loud...we can't afford adt):lmao:

I only caught 12 minutes of it, but yeah, that little girl would have had her hiney whipped so bad, she would not be able to sit for a week-when she TOLD her mother to carry her backpack!

Of course, not everyone SHOULD have children....even if they are physically able to.

Just saying...

OMG! I couldn't believe that daughter! Did you see when she went into that 'yipping' routine? Just sharp barking shreiks at her mother? Completely with slaps and punches?
When I was watching, all I could think was that I would have backhanded her across the face if she did that to me. Or put her head through a wall. Either way, I would have been taken away in handcuffs.

i just can't believe the complete lack of resiliency of that poor mother

We watched it. DH and I think 3/4 of the house is in need of a trip to the hairdresser. :scared: Some of the people on this show amaze me. Common sense tells you not to let the kids boss you around, hit you, etc. Makes my head hurt. :headache:

no doubt...I would love to see one of my kids to have even thought about acting like that. it kills me....someone has to have a nanny come in and say "hey you might want to uhhh i don't know...be a parent"

The hair was weird wasn't it? And I guess I don't get what was up with mom.......was she detatched from the kids or what? She didn't seem like she had any parenting skills whatsoever, pop a kid out and let it say and do anything it wants, without regard to HERself as a mom and a human being?? What the heck? :confused3

Someone else mentioned that they'd bonk their kids for smarting off like that. We had SOOOOOOO much trouble with dd as a teen that .........uh......

:rolleyes1 there is a fist sized hole in her bedroom wall from......uh......one of us, mom or dad, I won't say. LOL Hey, that day it was either her OR the wall.......I guess the wall took the hit. :rotfl:

(oh I knowwwwwwwww I'm gonna get poop for this one aren't I?) LOL

Did you notice that there wasn't a family update at the end? I think anything short of a year long intervention wouldn't help that poor mom.

Do they always do the update? I did wonder how they were doing and it really seemed like it might be a losing battle with kids that old and physically abusing their own mom.
That mom will be one of those elderly people we hear about who's battered by her children.........so so sad.

that's the same thing i mentioned to dh-thought it was pretty telling of how well it worked:sad2:

i just could'nt believe how jo did'nt jump on the dad when they were watching the video of the daughter going off on the mom, hitting her-and dad's saying something about how mom needs to stay with the program, needs to hang tuff...and how he does'nt understand why it's hard for her to do so....EXCUSE ME????? he's sitting just around the corner, hearing the daughter shriek at mom, hearing the smacks and mom telling her 'don't hit me'-why the 'h' does'nt he step up and tell the daughter it's inapporpriate as well??????

the mom obviously needs help and has issues-but this whole episode seemed to lack having the parents work together, mom was still left to deal with everything:confused3 :confused3

I thought the same thing. Good ol' Dad was sitting there all high and mighty when he should have been laying down the law. Mom's probably browbeaten by him, too. She seemed to look at him a few times while Jo was talking as if to indicate "now where have I heard this before?"
