Is anyone traveling this weekend? are we crazy?

Why is highest terror alert going on now? well I know why but you know what I mean.

We are flying this weekend. why why. I hate flying as it is. We are going but is disconcerting with all the terrorist talk.

Is anyone concerned about traveling this weekend?

i am flying without dh this weekend, and no i don't think people who do so are crazy.

i think it's important to be prepared, but not hole yourself up and not live your life. life goes on.

just try to keep things in perspective.

No you are not crazy. My DW is going to a dog show in Denver and my older two are going by plane to a national youth conference.

Nope, no problem traveling this weekend. But, like 99, I am driving (8 hours across Kansas ). If I were flying, I wouldn't be nervous either. I know it's important to stay alert, but the best thing we can do is go about our business. Sure, we should be extra watchful, but still live our lives.

Not in the least. I flew last weekend and I'm flying this weekend too, and I have trips in March, April and July planned.

Life is for LIVING, not worrying about things we can't control. You could just as soon be killed in front your house as you could by going somewhere fun.

DH is taking me to NYC for my birthday this weekend. The only reasons we would not go is if this cold I have gets worse or the snowfall predictions increase.

DS 15 is supposed to go to Bartlesville, OK to a youth conference for church. That is several hours away so I'm a little apprehensive. I'll send him anyway unless something happens between now and then. I'll just pray that the driver has good sense in case something happens along the way.

I am not worried about something happening to us. We during Sept 11th week. (we were at WDW )

but it does make me a little more nervous with all the extra security and threats etc for the next couple of days. Its a blatant reminder of how things have changed since 9-11.

It certainly makes me a bit more uneasy, as i am off to gatwick on Sunday, and I will certainly look at my fellow passengers a bit more closely, and yes, i will profile them based on the part of the world they appear to be from
