Is anyone not going to book the $99 deal?

We sailed in Jan but may not use our vouchers. I know it is a great deal but by the time we add airfare we could be on our way to another seven day instead!

Just curious...............

I booked both our cruises (we had two staterooms) immediately upon return home. The airfares right now are not all the good, but I figure that I've got 8 months to find a bargain on airfare.

It would be interested to see just what percentage of folks actually book the $99 deal.

The airfare would have to be quite extraordinary for us to cancel our $99 cruise. We use Southwest who hasn't opened up their schedule passed 6/07 yet. Even so, $500 for four for three nights - I had to do it!

Lisa,
Why don't you join us for the Dec 19 cruise? That would give you plenty of time to find a deal on airfare. And if things didn't work out, you could always cancel before 60 days and get a refund.

Autumn would love to see Emilee again. Autumn said that Emilee will be on TV this week?

If we do decide to do the $99 deal it would probably be in Oct, cuz MN has two days off of school for the teachers convention. My oldest will be in high school next year so missing one day would be like missing two.
Time will tell...............

I didn't know about the $99 deal, or I certainly would have tried to sail in January! Boo Hoo! I hope they offer this again next year. Was there advance notice given?

;) DH was not going to book, so I did it for him!! :D Now that it's paid for he's warming up to the idea! Too good to pass up. Our first 3 day cruise on the Magic was in October of 1999, the ship had only been sailing for about 2 months. We paid $5,233. 00 for our family of 5 for a family suite (OUCH!) I wish the DIS had been around! I feel like we are making up for that now!!

If you're thinking about doing the $99 deal in October, I would book now while availability is good. There have always been good airfare deals from MN for October. Sometimes they come out late spring, but usually in summer to late summer.

If the airfare deals don't come through, you can always cancel without penalty up to 60 days prior. But, if you're like me once you've made that reservation, no way are you going to cancel!!

Join us on the 10-17-02. We need someone to do a list! J/K

Is the $99.00 deal transferrable?

I'll go!!!!
I'll go!!!!

Hopeful in New Jersey where it's VERY COLD!!

The $99 deal is not transferrable.

At least one person that was on the January 4 or 7 day cruise that qualified for the voucher has to be sailing on the 3 day cruise. Also, the number of people that are on the 3 day may not exceed the number that sailed in January.

Just keep thinking why i would want to spend $800-$1000 in airfare whenI could put that towards a seven day............anyone not going to book the $99?

Lisa - Rather than take the kids out of school for 2 days for the 3 night voucher cruise (they only missed 4 days to do the 1/19 7 night with the holiday) and pay for all of the airfares, we decided to invite 2 other couples to use our vouchers with us. It will be fun and different to do the cruise without the kids and we hope to do another 7 day with the whole family in January 2004. We're going Dec. 5. I had hoped to use frequent flier miles but its tough for weekend flights from Florida. We got roundtrip fares from Pittsburgh for $154. The price moved around a lot over just the week or so where we were looking.

Looks like Sun Country is going to start up again. Maybe they'll have some good start-up deals to get passengers back. If nothing else, they should help keep fares at $250 or under.

If you're only going for the 3-night cruise, I see what you mean about paying all that airfare when you could pay the same in airfare and have a 7-day. But the cruise is such a good deal!! My total price for 2 was $257.70.

I have seen airfares as low as $160 roundtrip if leave on certain days and come back on certain days. United has this, but only goes through June now. You could check hotwire for their price or do priceline. I keep thinking you should be able to get a good deal on airfare in October.

Hope you can work it out. Besides, I forgot to buy you a drink this last cruise. Come on 10-17-02 and I'll make it up to you!! :smooth:
