Is anyone going to San Pedro on 8/20

To watch the Magic sail away one last time? For those of you that watched it come in or sail out where is the best place to watch from if I go to San Pedro?

I'm going to San Pedro on 8/20, but I won't be watching her leave. I've seen the magic come in once, and leave twice. When she arrived we watched from the very end where the Water tower on top of Warehouse 1 is. You turn in towards the ports of call area, and instead of going into the parking lot you just keep on going. We also saw her come in from the Acapulco restuarant.

The frist time she left we watched from the area where the stores are, then drove down to the end and watched her completely leave again.

The second time, we watched her pull out from the pier from the little area just on the other side of the ship from the terminal (when you go to the termial, instead of turning right into the parking lot and going through the guard station, you continue straight to where the Navy Ship is. We again, left that area and went down to the very end.

You guys are so lucky to be going for 14 days! I can't believe their are 565 of you disers going on this cruise. There were only about 50 of us on ours. You are going to have such a good time. I am going to try and be there to watch you go. Someone please post a "live from" thread. Thanks!

Not sure how much of a live board you will see -- esp. since DCL cancelled the unlimited internet plan on us Hopefully - Tracy can send some pics to Peter .. and he can post for us.

I will be sailing from San Pedro as well......not sure if everyone here knows or not, but DCL is NOT going to have the unlimited internet offer for this sailing (and only for this sailing. .)..it will be charged at pre-set minute packages that are not that cost effective for us cruisers....so we may not be able to post quite as much as the May repo cruisers did...but hopefully some of us will be able to report back en route!!!
