So I pre-ordered A Portrait of Walt Disney World: 50 Years of The Most Magical Place on Earth (Disney Editions Deluxe) on Amazon back in April. The release date is today, and it was supposed to arrive today. I just got a notice that the ship date is TBD, and Amazon is showing as out of stock. Wonder if they oversold their pre-orders or what?

Anyway, anyone getting this book today? And, if so, once you peruse it, do you think it was worth buying?

Didn't even know this was coming, but sounds pretty awesome. Would also like to hear any reviews.

I also preordered the book from Amazon a few months ago. I haven't gotten a notice that the ship date is TBD yet, but I did notice it hasn't shipped yet and is listed as being temporarily out of stock on the product page. Bummer! I was looking forward to getting it today.

I didn't even know it was available on Amazon! I hope they have some in the parks.

Definitely getting it, I noticed that is was in stock on shop Disney but OOS on Amazon, I hadn’t preordered it. I’ll probably order on Amazon and hope it comes in stock. Discounts on shop Disney don’t work on books, do they?

I’m in the U.K. and ordered from Amazon. If my estimated arrival date changed 3 times so far originally was around this date and now it’s saying late October!

I also preordered it and got the same message about the updated delivery being late October now. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait, so unless it gets ridiculous because of repeated delays, I’m hanging in there. I think Amazon also waits to charge you until it ships too, so I’m like oh well they don’t even have my money yet.

I just got the notice as well about the shipping date being TBD. Barnes & Noble has it in stock for the same price as Amazon, so I cancelled the Amazon order and ordered it from them. It is supposed to be here in 3-5 business days, so by next Tuesday. Here's hoping!

I didn't know about it, but I think this would make a good gift for my Mom. Thanks for the heads up! :)

Thanks, I noticed my Amazon pre order also said shipping TBD. Just cancelled it and ordered through Barnes and Noble.

Any idea if it will be available in the parks?

Not this book, but my DS wanted a $150 Star wars book for this past Christmas. It was an Amazon preorder on sale for about $100. I was supposed to get an email when it shipped. Middle of January I got an email, shipping date unknown, do I still want it which I said yes. My account kept showing as waiting for shipping date. NO updates what so ever from Amazon. I finally cancelled in it early March when I found & just bought it for full price from Barnes & Noble. Hugely disappointed with Amazon over that. :headache:

Found the same price at Barnes and Noble as at Amazon. And it was in stock. Amazon was Out of Stock.

I pre-ordered last week from Amazon and have not received an e-mail about an issue. I just checked the Barnes and Noble website and it says out of stock at my store and online.

Ordered at amazon some months ago. Since I can not go at the moment I really hope it will soon arrive for a little bit of magic.
