Flash back to Christmas 2019, we were booked for April vacation and a month in August Acouldn’t wait to see what 2020 had for us, that was then this is now. 3 hotels , 4 flights, 45 dining reservations, 15 fast passes, 4 annual passes and god knows how much time spent planning ALL CANCELED! Some by me, most by disney but all in all I’m looking down the barrel of 2020 being the 1st year in 38 years missing disney. to say I’m bummed would be an understatement. We were thinking of going back oct dec but w all the rules changing faster than i can adapt i regret to say 2020 is a goner for us. i gotta believe I’m not alone? What are others doing in this situation? Keeping the streak alive? Or cashing it in?

I would cancel in a heartbeat if Disney would allow me to roll my 70 2019 banked points. Unfortunately, with a March use year, and a reservation for mid-July, they won't. I really don't want to go with the Covid numbers exploding in Orange County (15% positive), but may have to give it a go. I would love to go later, but my wife and I are teachers and the only time we can go is in the summer. Bummed about the whole mess.

We aren’t canceling the trip but are opting for resort only. DVC with banked points to lose. We have tickets and could jump in the fray tomorrow but the virus numbers are spooking me and not going to a park probably keeps us from crossing paths with at least 1,000 random people. The reduced park experience and the IT frustration of tomorrow isn’t worth getting sick. We will hang at the pool, enjoy the resort, and open air dining. I was really hoping Florida would get this under control but we are there a month from today and it takes longer than that to bring the numbers down. Adds to a long list of disappointments from this year but we are healthy and thankful for that. Prepared with masks and ready to distance!

We are out for August. Between the changes and wearing masks in the 95+ degree heat it isn't a good time to visit for us and our kids and grandkids. DH and I have a trip for November. I am keeping a watch on things plus we have to buy tickets and first see if we can get the parks we want. I will cancel if we can't get what we want and if things are still too chaotic there. We have a May 2021 trip which I hope is a go. We have been trying to get there every year now since becoming empty nesters but 2020 happened. I am disappointed as it is my Happy place where I destress and chill out. This year a road trip to NH will be my destress trip.

You are NOT alone.. we do not like the new set of rules . We are diehard Disney fans with 30 years plus under our belt. But Iam sorry we wont be playing the new game . We have no problem with walking away from Disney (I cant believe Iam saying this). Disney will have alot of people that will go and will truly enjoy their stay..Disney will not miss us or our money! I do hope it does come back to "normal" , as of right now our plans are Oct. 2021 for the 50 th birthday party! My fingers are crossed!!:earsgirl:

We have a streak of every other year that will be broken. We were all set for April which got canceled. I had backups for end of June (which is obv a no-go with no parks) and August but we will be canceling that as well. While I’m ok with the rules and restrictions, understand the precautions and do trust that Disney will do an excellent job at keeping everyone safe, it’s just not the way I’d want to do Disney. I‘m also concerned about potential out of state travel and rules so I booked us a small getaway within our own state this summer where I am fully aware of the “rules”. Really hoping by next April everything will be more under control!

We decided this weekend we will likely have to cancel for October And reschedule for next year. We are booked at Coronado Springs. There are seven in our party, 4 who hadn’t bought tickets before the parks closed. So, now we are in the position of the majority of our party having no access to tickets or park reservations till “later this summer”. We won’t go this year unless we can all get into the parks together. At my TA’s recommendation, I will make park reservations for 3 of us tomorrow, and then see if there is still the same park availability when the other 4 can buy. A complicating factor is that we are outside Delta’s current fee waiver window. It would be an easier decision to cancel now if we were not facing fees that are over half what we paid for tickets. So, we’ll hold on until we see if Delta includes October in the waiver period.

Friday I canceled our WL reservation for Thanksgiving week. It was the third reservation I've canceled since March. I took a hit on my DVC points but had no choice.

Just cancelled our GCV Christmas stay yesterday. We were using all borrowed points so we aren’t out anything. We are bummed but the uncertainty is just too much. Looking forward to 2021.

We have had 3 non Disney trips cancelled this year. We were hoping to at least get to Disney, as we are Florida residents and it is easy for us to go. We like to go for a least 4 nights on property in the fall. We won’t go unless things are back to normal.

Looks like I’m in the majority. im sure like most were all keeping a close Eye on how it unfolds.

I still have my September trip but we usually have other trips booked as well by now. If this trip doesn’t work out I guess we’ll see how 2021 shapes out. It breaks my heart.

We were in WDW in Jan. so we weren’t going to return to the parks this year.
We had a DCL cruise in Nov. with a few days at Universal scheduled. I cancelled the cruise last month.
In the last few days Dh has been saying he had would like to still to go to Universal. I was really considering it but the increase in cases in FL is very concerning to me. I work in a hospital in CT and they have been through a nightmare peak already. Don’t want to see it again.
I am thinking of pushing back to June of 2021 or maybe Nov. 2021. It’s so hard not to have anything to plan though.

The last time I was at WDW was in January 2018. I HAD planned a trip for December 2020 but decided to cancel because of COVID, all the new rules, and I don't see an equitable ROI.

Maybe I'll go in 2021. I don't know. We'll see.

We just canceled my birthday trip in October, right after they canceled mickeys not so scary. I know it’s selfish but I was a little sad. We have a reservation for Christmas at WL club level but we might not even get to do that considering there isn’t an opening date for WL yet.

If I didn't have an AP that got extended I would probably sit out this year. But I am also stressed out beyond belief from work and desperately need an escape. I chose Labor Day in the hopes things will look a lot better down there by then. Everything is refundable so I'm good if I can't or don't want to go.

You can get your money back now ...you just need to call. We had our APs returned as i don’t know when we will be back. now
