Is anyone else sick of people not caring?

I'm really sick and tired of people being vague, and who don't care about things.
I'm sick of people telling stories where they think they were with someone else but they were really with me.. it's like, do you seriously not remember? Did you really not care enough to remember who was there?
I'm sick of people not knowing things about their own family or their very best friends. Like something as simple as their birthday. Is it really that hard to remember your mother or your fathers birthday?

I just kind of get tired of living in a world where nobody else cares about another's life, they don't ask questions and don't know the simplest of things. There are some day's where I feel like I care TOO much, even about people who I don't even consider friends. I care what happens to them, and I know more about their lives than I think they'd care to know. That might sound creepy, but I just like to know how others are doing.
But nobody else ever feels the need to know things. They couldn't tell you where their friend went on vacation, or when they'll be back. They couldn't even tell you the dates of their OWN vacation.

I don't know, it just irks me how little people care about anything these days. People will be like 'Oh I love this song!' and you ask them what the name of it, or who sings it, and they really couldn't tell you.
:confused3
Does anybody else feel that the world has become a little detached?

I totally agree.
The world is just kinda (to say the least) going down hill with it's morality.
This section is kinda OT: Like, I had a revelation when I was reading The Host. When the souls take over the body, they become these sinless, caring, and trustful creatures. In the book, you don't even have to buy anything, they just take inventory.
And then I thought, why can't we do that? It would be awesome, not paying for everything and trusting everyone. Then it hit me, OH YEAAAAH, WE CAN'T TRUST PEOPLE! I know it's just a fantasy, but whatevs. It's dumb when you have to be careful what you say to people because of what they might do or think of you.

I know exactly how you feel.

Like, I'll mention missing my friend and they snap and they're like "GET OVER IT GRAHFGHGHA" and then they'll mope about something.

I suffered a bad breakup, and they were like "GET OVER IT STOP MOPING AROUND GARAFHGHG". Friend suffers bad breakup, and they don't tell HER to get over it when SHE mopes around!!!

Grahghghghghgh I hate it, I just hate it.

I totally agree.
Even if sometimes i am a little guilty of appearing to not care.
I've been friends with some people for years and they still couldn't tell you my birthday. That really gets me. And i could sit there in a corner and not say a word and only a few people would notice me or care to ask if anything was wrong. That gets me too.

Something else that really annoys me is people who ride their ponies when they're obviously lame just because they want a rossette. Or people who have no love for animals and ride horses like a bike as a way to show off and boast with no attention to the feelings of the animal. I really hate people like that.

That happens to me a lot too. Almost the entire first semester of school this past year, I was alone in all my classes.
And I'd sit in a corner quietly and no one would speak to me. And still, if they did, they spoke to me like I was going to kill them at any second.
I mean is it really my fault that they don't know how to deal with shy people? Just because I'm not crazy social doesn't mean I'm a lunatic or whatever.
It's frustrating, because I wanted people to talk to me, but not out of pity.

Exactly how i feel.
Except i've never been completely alone. Usually it's when i'm in a group of friends and they all sit there in a circle and i'm left on the outside just sat there and they don't even notice. Gurrr. It doesn't happen often to me in fairness but it's soo annoying.

Mm, that's happened to me before.
Mostly due to the fact that they all would have the same subject last semester, so they'd all study together.
I'd just end up plugging my headphones in my ears and ignoring them, hoping they'd forget about science and talk to me about something else.

Ahh yeah. Some people I've known since I was FOUR YEARS OLD still cannot spell my name right.

Sad.

Only a couple friends of mine couldn't tell you my birthday.

As for the corner thing, oh, they'd notice alright. One day I was quiet in school, just ONE particular day, and they all jumped down my throat and demanded to know what was wrong. They were like "something's wrong. You're quiet. Now you're almost in f-ing tears. What's wrong? TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG!!!!!!" It gets kinda annoying. Sometimes I just wanna be quiet and be alone. But they have to assume that something's wrong.

I put my headphones in too!
If i was in a better mood, i'd have sung for them. Then they'd notice me. xD

Babyjustrun and CrazyChik, I know that feeling.

Most of my friends all went to the same primary/elementary school and they have all these "memories" they sometimes talk about once in a while. I kinda just sit there feeling like the little outsider of the group. Yesterday, we were watching this show thing and my friend talked to my other friend for the whole show and just completely ignored me. Felt awkward ;(

Ahah, yeah.
If I want attention, I start singing or dancing.
It's that simple.
And then they try to get me to stop ;]

Totally.
Oh and the one time i took my mates house key from under her nose just to show how much attention they paid me. Then I forgot to give it her back and she ended up locked out of her house. Whoops.:rolleyes1

I couldnt agree more.
I once had an argument with my friend about the first time she saw a movie.
She was like "I was totally at Katies house and it was a RIOT" "...uhm...you first saw that with me" "No I didnt I was at katies!" "No, we went to the theatres togeter, and we saw it. Remember how I was sold an adult ticket and you got childrens?" "...no..."

-
That hurts.

Or when I tell them who I like and it doesnt matter HOW many fliggon times I tell them, they always ask "Oooo you have a crush!? On who on who!?".

Which is weird, because most people are saying things like "Boys are SUCH JERKS they never remember ANYTHING important, and they are only after 1 thing" "...1. Do you even know what that "1 thing" is? *rolls eyes* 2. Then who are YOU hanging out with, because the guys I chill with are the most nicest people ive ever met." "Thats because you hang out with the freaks mouse" "....excuse me?"

Like those are my best girl friends that say that to me.
Its very annoying too. I have to call them my best friends or else they get mad. I mean, they ARE my best friends, but sometimes I just fit in better with guys.

I also really dont like how people say "I think we are celebrating my moms birthday tonight..or my dads.. i dont know/care"

Thats so rude!
I cant even begin to describe it!

I know EXACTLY what you mean.

I hate that!!
And then they'll be like "Ugh, it's going to be sooo boring. I'll probably get on aim or something."

Im so sorry.
I know exactly how you feel.
My best chick friends have other friends, and they talk non-stop about elementary school "good times" where my good times are replaced with "Yeah but she turned into a skank":rotfl:

It makes me upset when they just talk like that, or they see a lower elementary person, who they mentoured, and immediatly they just kinda leave me there. In the childrens section of the library, wile im just sitting there thinking "..I wish I could say the same thing". Or when people always talk about their guy friends goin over to their house when they were little, and thats why they are best friends now. Where if ANY guy came over to my house then my parents would announce him my boyfriend.

My elementary school was filled with the worst people (Im not kidding) and everytime I hear about my friends from that one school or anyone else that went there, it makes me sad to live where I live. (if that makes sense)

:yay: If youever need to talk about that, feel free to PM me.:yay:

I dislike that so much!
Would it really kill them to naturally care and have a nice family evening?
I love it when its a member of the family's birthday. We always get together just the 5 of us, have cake, see the look on their face of the opening of presents. Having funny talks at the dinner table.
Its a special memory which I never understood why someone would be "bored" at.

Every school day for a month before my b-day, I tell EVERYONE that my birthday is on that day (I'm not going to disclose that) and who remembers? NOBODY! I go up to a bunch of people and say "Guess what day it is" and none of them remembered. What's worse is that I remembered at least all of my friends birthdays, and sometimes even some of my non-friends!

I hate it even more when teens say "Disney World is LAME!" when I KNOW that they would be ecstatic if they knew they were going to WDW. It's annoying when teens think they are "too cool" for WDW. You can't be "too cool" for WDW, you have to be cool ENOUGH to like it!

i agree with you.

ive know a girl for nearly 13 stinkin years by now. i know her birthday, and she doesnt even know mine. she doesnt even know my last name. it is so sad sometimes.
