Is anyone else looking forward to the upcoming holidays this year?

It seems like this year has passed by so fast and that there are things happening each month especially during the holidays, but I am so looking forward to them. Having a little one to celebrate the later holidays with, and Christmas :cool1: .
I am ready, ready, ready for Christmas.

When you said "holidays," I thought you meant 4th of July! That I'm not even ready for yet, much less Christmas. Egads.

I am! I do not like summer. DH & I take vacations in the fall/winter. I wish we could skip to Sept right now! And, of course, I love the holidays too.

Well I am always ready for Christmas! It seems as each year just goes by faster and faster.
Too early to get the tree up yet tho. I would get tons of static from the kids and DH if I even tried. (Plus, they are the ones that have to dig everything out of storage :lmao: no way I would be able to talk them into THAT in April!)

I like getting my Christmas tree the first day they are being sold and decorate it as soon as we get home, but we will see how things go with a newborn around.
We are having the Christmas in July Present Exchange-in June, and also both the Christmas Present Exchange and the Christmas Stocking Exchange again this year if anyone wants to join in. They are always fun.

I normally don't, but Christmas this year will probably bring my friend home. He's in the air force and I haven't seen him since last August. Thankfully he's not in the war zone, but he's stationed in England as of a week or two ago, so all we have is email. It's almost definite that he will be home on leave right around Christmas. So this year, December can't come fast enough.
That being said, I'm more than willing to skip the holidays. With divorced parents and a blended family they're way more stress than they're worth.
