Both of my DD's have costumes (Mickey & Stitch).
DW refuses to wear one. ;)

I'm trying to get a costume for myself on Ebay. I've been outbid on one auction  and have moved on to a second.

Is anyone else looking to dress up as a Disney character for Halloween? Any luck with Ebay?

I've been waiting for TDS to carry an adult Princess Aurora costume. I noticed they had it in the cataloge last year but I couldn't afford it then.

I now have a little baby that'll be almost 6 months old and I was hoping they'd come out with an infant Stitch costume, but no such luck.

Princess_Aurora - Thanks for responding to my post. I hate when I post & nobody responds. :o

We just received our Disney catalog. The smallest Stitch costume is XXS (18-24 months). They have alot of great stuff for infants. I like the Wheezy (from Toy Story) costume.

I can't believe that two adult XL Tigger costumes went for $100 and about $85 the past few days on eBay. You can get them online and in the catalog for only $68.50.

I plan to be either Tigger or Pooh. I will let my older DD decide. :)

My DW refuses to wear a costume and said that she was going to walk 10 feet behind us at WDW. ;)

I am waiting to put up a new pooh costume from last year... the one with the honey pot on his head. It is a size 6-12 months, but won't fit the baby I bought it for.

I am looking for a inexpensive (?) sleeping beauty costume for my dd who wants desparately to dress up for CRT breakfast. She already has a tinkerbell costume for the MNSSHP, but wants to be Aurora for the breakfast... Hey, you're only 4 once!

I haven't made up my mind about my DH and myself. DD (2) is Minnie, DS (6) is Capt Hook, and DD (4) is Tink. I was thinking Tarzan and Jane (just so I can watch him wear a loin cloth!).

Any ideas?

Good Luck... will you be there for MNSSHP?

Karen

i got a 6/12 month tigger costume this week on ebay for $13....
i do not like the new costumes this year with the 'heads' on the top i think it looks silly! so i checked out ebay for the old styles...my ds is 4 months, but really big so i hope it fits him!

i was looking at adult costumes too, but you are right, they are really going for too much when i could order one new!

the key to winning ebay auctions is to bid only at the last second, have you tried this? (helps to have a good internet connection so you can time it right) i never place a bid until the end.

halloween is my favorite holiday! (also dh's bday, twice the fun!)

I am a 32 year old guy that dressed in the Tigger costume from the Disney store last year. My wife had the Pooh costume and my DD was the Pooh huney Pot. I will tell you that the Costumes are big! I would hate to pack them for a trip. They also are pretty hot.
There is a little button on the palm of the hand that you squeeze and Tiggers voice comes on. My daughter and nieces loved it!
I hope you enjoy it!

HoosierFantasia - I'm 33 & I'm going to be Eeyore!!! :p

I showed my 2-yr-old DD the Pooh, Tigger, & Eeyore costumes and asked her which one she wanted me to wear for Halloween. She picked Eeyore. My DW said she picked the right one because Eeyore is more like my personality. ;)

I am worried about packing three costumes but we'll make them fit. :)

I am alos in my 30's and I wear I Tigger costume that I got a few years ago and the Disney Store. It cost me between 50-60 dollars, but I figured that if I wear it every year, it's not so bad. I wore it twice, since one Halloween I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't fit in it (I guess I would have looked more like Pooh than Tigger).

My little one gets a kick ut of mommy dressing up. I have fun and that's what it's all about.

Here is a website for a costume company that offers lots of Disney costumes. These might fit into people's budgets a little better. Just be aware that these are the type / quality that you would be more likely to find in stores like Wal Mart, etc. - not the higher quality Disney Store ones.

Yes, I just checked ebay today, after seeing the Aurora costumes at TDS this morning. They're very nice, but would like to find one cheaper (of course). We're going to the World in December, and I'd love to see my little Aurora dressed as the princess that she is (her name is Aurora).

Plus, I have a Piglet costume 6-12 months that she wore last year that I'll be selling on ebay in the coming weeks. It's the nice plush one that TDS sold last year.

We're going as the 100 Acre Wood gang (please be cool in FL on the evening of Oct. 20). I agree about the new DS costumes don't look good with the faces on top - I don't normally shop at eBay, but I am there now looking. I've gotten a Piglet for my DD (16 mos.) and a Tigger for my DS (5). I also got out-bidded for Winnie the Pooh for myself - very disappointing. I'm bidding for Eeyore for my DD later this week (I think my computer is fast enough to place a bid in the last 20 seconds like the person who got *my* Pooh costume). DH has actually agreed to dress up, but I'm worried about how hot he'll be! I'm thinking about letting him be Winnie the Pooh and I'll be going as Rabbit as we're a family of five. Maybe I'll let DH go as Christopher Robin and then I won't have to worry about him dying of heat stroke - I'll have to look for a wig for him (LOL). :)
