Is anyone else "Home Sick" like me?

This morning at 9:00 am I really wanted to be at the MK rope drop with my family. I love seeing the train pull into the station with all the characters on board.

Any of these would do just fine...
  • Watching the animals from our balcony at AKV.
  • Watching the Wishes fireworks from one of the pontoon boats.
  • Watching World of Color from our balcony at VGC.
  • Back on DCL Panama cruise.
  • Checking out Aulani resort and Ohau.
Is it Nov yet?

It's another cold, rainy day in New England....I'd much rather be doing ANYTHING at WDW right now! At any of my home resorts..... I could be
1. Enjoying a Mickey cake at the Boardwallk Bakery
2. Relaxing by the Congress Park pool right now at SSR
3. Checking out the view on the Savannah at AKV Jambo House
4. Sitting on my MK facing balcony at BLT & drinking an iced-tea

.....too bad these are only daydreams!

Oh, yes. I so wish we were at WDW right this very minute. From March to October sure seems like a long time to wait. But we are there in spirit! :goodvibes

Getting closer, but still not soon enough.
Anything at WDW would be better than here right now.

I would love to be:
sitting on my Kidani balcony, glass of wine in hand, watching the animals...or:
at Dawa Bar in AK, watching the entertainment, or just people watching.

Missing my second home right now.

Walking from BWV to the World Showcase, either getting a creme brulee from Boulangerie Patisserie and sitting at one of the little cafe tables or going to Germany for a pretzel and beer and eating it at one of the cafe tables in Italy and people watching. Heaven!

That sounds good too. Oh! heck it all sounds good! :thumbsup2

Can't wait leaving in about 13 days. :dance3:

You mention "people watching" and "Epcot" so that reminded me-if it was still before 11:00am, I'd love to be sitting by the Rose and Crown, watching people who've entered the IG hustle on over to FW and Soarin as fast as they can without visibly running. Meanwhile I'd just be sitting, sipping my coffee and listening to the clarinet "Play the Sunset" (I think the name of the song is "On the Shore")

The song is "Stranger on the Shore."

About a year ago, my niece decided to join beginner band...so...with me being the band geek...and a totally devoted aunt...I sent her links to the best music that I could find that showcased each instrument.

I remembered hearing Stranger on the Shore from Mr. Holland's Opus and found it. Here it is on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q075mDGwjs

It must have made an impression on my niece. She is an excellent clarinet player, and completely fantastic for her time on the instrument.

There is nothing like that first day on Main Street USA .....the sights, the sounds, the smells ! Wish I was there !

I would like to be stepping into my ride car at Toy Story Mania right now with my son for a little competition!!!

Add me to the list who is "home sick".

Last week, we had a small tornado come through the area and had flying debris put a hole in our roof and water damage. (Minor compared to the tragedies many have seen. Still, I'd rather deal with a used car salesman than an insurance company).

I would really like to be watching a sunrise or sunset from BLT.

Mine is sitting on the Boardwalk with a nice warm breeze blowing off the water and sipping a strawberry daiquiri/or having a mint chocolate chip ice cream cone/or eating a funnel cake while watching the people walk by. Ahhhhhhhh....:upsidedow

I'd love to be laying at the Kadini pool with a cocktail in my hand thinking about which park to go to, whenever I decide to go!

I have only been home for a week and I still wish I was there. We spent 8 wonderful days in a grand villa at AK Kidani with all of our kids and grandkids and now have to wait until October for the next visit (just DH and me at OKW). It is so nice to have a place to go on the web and find others who understand. My friends think I am crazy!

Me, too! No summer trip for us this year due to too many kid activities. I'm sooo homesick it's not even funny. I'm trying desperately to find a long weekend for MVMCP, but that's not looking good, either. :sad1:

The wait is driving me nuts... I cant wait untill I pull up my chair along SAB and can kick back and relax at "Home"

I'm having a hard time picking just one thing, but I'd love to be walking over the bridge into Adventureland (cue music) on my way to a Dole Whip! :thumbsup2
