Is Anyone Else Fed Up With Doing Quests?

Yeah I hate the quests and the people that walk in front of you to get something...so when I see someone do that I go and stand on the thing to make it invisible, then when they say get off or I will report I say my computer wont let me move please dont report me ;)

If you guys don't like quests, then don't participate! But to ask them to stop for six months effects all of us who want the quests! I don't find that much to do in vmk if there are no quests. I come on every day and check for a new quest, if there isn't one I usually just leave. I think they are fun and challenging and they add the "raised stakes" to make the game interesting.

That's easier said then done, when you have no alternative if you want the 4th of July pin, the Birthday Cake, those magic pins, the new rooms, etc. It gets lame when something is so constantly. It's not new not even fun anymore. I used to think "oh cool a new quest" and now its like some burden a task like "omg not another quest!!!!!!!!!" :lmao:

they feel like chores to me and i just rather buy the pins and rooms. also i'd like to have extras and the quest dont allow that unless you mule em.

I feel as many probably do, that they have a place and are mildly entertaining the first time through, I felt the trivia portion of this particular quest was great and agree with Qruthie that it could have been more of that and less or no games for this particular quest. Certainly most of us would not completely abstain from participation regardless, but for some these quests are tourcherous.

All some of use really are requesting is quite simple...give us a little V button next to the Q. V can stand for Vend and charge us whatever they want there in credits because when you have to do these things over and over and over to finish those that you have obligated yourself to you are ready to pay.

Fed up with doing quests? If only I could do the the quests! I'm not very good at any of the games and I don't have the time to keep practicing, so if the quest involves the games, especially if the scores are high, forget it--I don't even bother. Of course, since that's most of them, I can never get any of the cool stuff. I managed to save up tons of credits so I could buy stuff when it comes out and now it all seems to be offered in quests only. I've got all these credits and nothing to buy! :sad2:

Don't forget, VMK won't know how you feel unless you write and TELL THEM how you feel.

to stop quests for months on end would be kind of overkill. but they need to come up with a new way to get things out there. or make quests not so difficult and like i said earlier, they need better prizes for completing quests. because after working my butt off to get 170,000 pts. in fireworks and getting a pin for it just doesnt give me a warm fuzzy. what i also dont like is when they make you get friends. i dont know about you guys but i get a friend through a quest and i just kind of forget about them for the most part. not saying i'm a total introvert on vmk but it just kind of adds people that i really dont know onto my list. they do need a skip or hint button on the quest, and it should cost you something to use it. but that would make quests a whole lot better and more enjoyable.

This is a tough task with a full friends list, it requires searching out a delete victim. Maybe it could be like the item you allready have and say "we see you have way too many friends all ready so we give you a pass" In fact this could work for the mini games as well "we see you have completed this task several thousand times - don't bother" (note to staff: these are less suggestions then humor don't missinterpret them)

OK, at this point in the thread, I have forgoten who said it; but whoever you are who is standing on gems or mickeys....please stop it :confused3 It is not a good way to "get back" at anyone, and just makes life more difficult for all of us. BTW, I always say' "Could you please move?"

The only task that is difficult is adding a new friend - we just need a bigger friends list!

Well, I don't know about all of you...but on a quest, when they say to delete a friend...I go to the same room as a good friend that is already on my friends list...tell them I'm on a quest and need to make a friend...delete them and then request to be their friend again. No having to ask strangers to be your friend...b/c that's just not safe, is it? ;)

Oh believe me, they know! They check these boards out, too! They are watching!

Ah, so I hear...sometimes things even get missunderstood. (allthough I have re-read my musings from today and I don't see it sorry if something was missinterpreted)
But thats ok - Hula you rock! (somedays this is my entertainment while at work instead of actually going to vmk - take some of the stuff here with a great big chunk of salt)

I have found that using the advanced option for your quest when going into public rooms makes life so much easier because then you can pick which room you want to go into and 9 times out of 10 you will find an empty room and you get it all to yourself. :goodvibes

I'm currently on the Music Quest.. I hate when they set short time limits to get to someplace like Tom Sawyer's Island and someone is blocking the ONLY was to get there in the time allotted. Taking the Monorail from another station means it takes too long. Now I have to get a HARD TO GET high score on fireworks again.

When I run into quests like these I rate them as ONE star for being too demanding. The Typhoon Lagoon one asked the same question twice and it had TWO correct answers as the phone number for surf lessons is different on two different web pages! :furious: I rated that a one as well. Too bad we can't give more feedback to glitches.

i think that they have way to many quest out!! its like 1 every single day they have some kind of new quest ( well not every single day but alot ) and i also think vmk has gotten alot slower because of thme.... its just my opinion

the high scores in some of the mini-games frustrate me on the quests especially after passing one like fireworks, getting dc'ed then having to pass fireworks again, because i ran out of time to finish the next task trying to log back in from the dc

I think that the quest should have a time out (while logged in) before you can guess again when you miss an answer, not a penalty of going back. One time I was two away from finishing a quest and got disconnected. Logged back in and got DC again, next thing I know I'm nine or so questions behind and have to replay mini games. THAT is not the FRIENDLY Magic Kingdom.

I understand the rational behind the set back, but I feel the timeout penalty is a better solution with the size of the DC problem.

I just had a couple of ideas for making the quests a bit easier but still challenging by including the mini-games.

If they feel they need to make us play the mini-games, how about making four different versions of the quest, each with the same tasks except using a different mini-game? Then we could choose which version we want to play. I wouldn't have a problem if we were able to choose to play all four versions.

If they feel they need to make us play ALL of the mini-games, how about making three different versions of the quests, each with a different level of difficulty? That would be something like the car quests - easy, medium and difficult. Maybe they could give out one of whatever the prize is at the easy level; two prizes at the medium level; and three prizes at the difficult level? Again, I wouldn't have a problem if we were able to choose to play all three versions.

Both of these ideas are for making it easier for everyone to get a prize such as the birthday pin. They have nothing to do with decreasing mule usage so the games would probably be over crowded but I think it would allow more people to complete the quests.
