Is anyone an non-Florida annual pass holder?

We are doing 14 days and like to Park hop on one trip next year - so we splurged on the AP's - 4 adult tickets - total about $1600. :rotfl:
At least our ticket are paid for now.

Now to get that great BRP (Best Rate Program) for us and the DDE card.
We do a sit down meal each day - and with our kids now 'adults',
I bet we will save some money with the DDE (Disney Dining Experience card).

As stated before - depends on how many days you'll spend in the WDW 4 parks. I think the AP is better with 11 or 12 days in the Park (hopping around) - but I never really calculated it out.

Have fun at WDW no matter how long you visit :wizard:

New Jersey AP Holders here, also for many years. Just renewed in Nov for another year.

yes...having 1 pass for me has saved (NET) me and my family (wife and 1 child) well over $1,200 in 2 trips. That includes room discounts, park ticket for me, and disney diney plan discount.

you can break even with one trip, but score heavy discounts with 2 or more trips,

We're from WI and have had AP's many times through the years. We usually buy them, then return 11 months later for another use. We let them expire and then start the cycle again when we go on our next trip, a year or so later. A typical stay for us is 9 to 10 days at WDW, with an occasional venture to somewhere such as Sea World for a day, although this is rare for us. We love the ability to park hop as much as we want, plus not having that "wasteful" feeling going to a park for only part of a day.

We're also DVC members and I just ordered AP's for us with the wonderful DVC discount currently available. We're only going to be at WDW for 5 days this January, but couldn't pass up the DVC discount rate. Guess we'll be headed to Florida again in December 2006! ::MinnieMo

hi all,
ap holder in nyc here.actualy we won't be renewing them next year.has nothing to do with prices or disney.we go around 3-4 times a year and that's starting to become a problem with dw and my jobs.

If you have multiple trips planned, it can really be a savings. While I don't have an AP for upcoming trip, I did have one several years ago. I bought it for our December trip, then went in March, June, August, October and December - a total of 52 days! So it was well worth it. And as others have mentioned, the DDE can add up to some great savings.

I had an AP when I lived in Seattle, mostly for the room discounts. I don't know if I would now though as I didn't visit the parks so much as I did the Adventurers Club and the discounts aren't the same as they used to be. Since I was spending so much time at DTD, I would probably just get a non-expiring 10 day and stretch that out over a couple years, and priceline my room in the DTD area.

Now that I'm in Florida, I do have my Seasonal AP but its alot cheaper than a regular one and I still get the discounts. But that's not what you were asking about so see answer above. :)

we do & we enjoy the annual pass, we take acouple trips a year or a really long trip. if you go 10 plus days its a good deal (a park hopper pass for 10 days is $332.00) while a themepark annual pass is $395. plus you can get discounts on your room, discounts at some wdw stores & you can buy the dde card for 20% savings on most meals.

We bought PAPs for the first time this year. We are DVCers, so the discount was terrific and we knew we were planning this trip and another 10-day trip in August, with at least one sit down dinner/day on both trips so there would also be a big pay-off with DDE card. We may even squeeze in a long weekend this time next year before the the PAPs and DDE card expires.

Hey, SeaChristine! I'm from KY also and this was my first year with an AP! I was hoping to get to make two trips with it. I have already been twice. Going in two weeks, and hoping to do a long weekend in May for my anniversay and a "work" related meeting in Feb. I think it is addictive!

It has been wonderful this year, but in a normal time, I'm not sure we would have saved anything. We typically only go to the parks everyother day with a day off in between for resting, enjoying the resorts. We generally don't park hop. So we bought my wife and kids 10day, no expiry with me being the only AP. We have stayed off site so this saved us in parking. We have used the AP for a resort discount, but did try to consolidate our purchases to World of Disney to get the 10% there.

Good luck

I live in Kentucky and this year the AP has paid off for me because of a trip with friends and a conference I had to attend. In a normal year, however, it wouldn't. It totally depends on how many trips you have planned.

DH & I both have PAP's....we are DVC owners, and go down at least 3 times a year, it's well worth it! The worth it part is what counts....depends on how long you intend to be there and/or how often.

Just bought ours PAP's in MD for June trip .
We will get our June trip 7day ,Dec 3or4 days,Maybe an April and then againg in June a couple weeks earlier then 2006 so It will be worth it for us.

We are also DVC'ers
