Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Hope your as happy as can be!!! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

I was Just wondering, is there anyone else out there that is obsessed :earseek: with planning their WDW vacation??
I have been planning our first trip to the World as family since February of this year. My DH, DS,(13), DS(3), and myself.
And I just can't seem to stop.
I've bought 3 guides, one including TGM, and Unofficial guide. I read everything from front to back at least twice. I'm on this website and others at least 3 or 4 times a day, and into the night. :badpc:
My husband asked me the other night, after coming to bed rather late, because of being on Dis boards, he said, "What are you going to do AFTER our vacation?" :confused3
And you know, that's a really good question. I have no idea what I am gonna do. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
I've learned so much, :teacher: and yet I feel I haven't even touched the surface.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, is there anyone else out there who just like me?? :earsgirl:
Please, I feel so alone. And the mouse won't talk back!! ::MickeyMo
Thanks
Karen

I also obsess with planning. We will be going in august and I'm the dis every day finding new info. This is my eighth trip to WDW but the planning is always the same. As for what to do after you get back, that's simple. YOU START PLANNING FOR THE NEXT ONE. :teeth:

I'm guessing many of us are obsessed with planning for WDW. That's why we keep reading these posts. :goodvibes I think the planning is almost as fun as going!

That's why, when you get back, --- You'll start planning your next trip to WDW.

You are not alone! I love to plan, too! And...as wdwdavem and mwerner2 said...you just start planning your next trip as soon as you get back! Trip planning has become a hobby for me!

I am right there with you. I booked our trip in March and then the planning started with the PS's. I wanted to make sure I had a guideline of what we would be doing everyday to coinside with the dinner PS's. My DH was getting a bit frustrated with me because he said I was taking all the fun out of the trip by pre-planning. I did get all the PS's of where we wanted to eat this trip so If anything I did accomplish my goal. I have relaxed a bit. We are 45 days away and I am getting anxious. :goodvibes

Now about when you get home and what to do...scrapbook all the pictures you took and then start planning your next years trip... :flower:

For those of us who love WDW so much, this planning becomes more like a Disney World FIX. It helps us get through .... everything. I have learned so much here. :cool1: I have had 4 annual WDW vacations with my DH,
and now I have had 5 solo annual WDW vacations. DH just prefers not to travel. When your trip is done, and you are not yet in the planning stage,
now you can be on the DIS every day, just to help people out from YOUR experiences !

Tell your husband that after your vacation...you'll be planning the next one!!! :cool1:

Planning for a disney trip is half the fun. After each trip I begin planning for the next. I like to research prices on everything that we will do or use for the trips. Like I said that is half the fun.

I hesitate to admit it but I do think the planning is half the fun of the trip. I had plans for the next trip (cruise) before we left for our trip this year. When we came home I was so depressed, on a whim we bought a DVC resale (sight unseen no less!) Can't wait to go back :earsboy: Have found that with a great deal of research and planning, you can still have a great time and have money left over for additional trips to WDW.

Hello There :wave2:

I PLAN PLAN PLAN Then PLAN a bit more!

I have guide books, Planning DVD's, The DIS and anything else I can lay my hands on!

I am going to take pride in all my planning once we get there. When 95% of the guests are wondering aimlessly around the park I will be strolling confidently to my next attraction, When 95% of the guests are trying to find a sit down meal for lunch I will be aproaching the podium with my PS number and when 95% of the guests are wishing they knew where the characters where I will have a full autograph book!

Me too! I just finished my final plans (maybe :) ) for out trip in two weeks. I've been obsessing since Early January.

Have a great trip

Count me in on this list. I have been planning this since February and I still have 5 weeks to go. I have tendancies to try to plan every moment but that is impossible. You have to account for the weather and the crowds. Neverless, we are excited beyond measure.

I am currently planning 2 trips for this year and planning trips for 3 friends.
Besides planning your next trip after you get back you can also write your trip reports, restaurant reviews, and start working on your scrapbooks.

Hey we're here for ya!!! :earboy2: :grouphug:

I am so glad I am not the only one planning trips for friends. As if I don't have enough to be obsessed about with our own trips. :rolleyes1

(You know you're a real disney planning junkie when you find yourself planning your next trip DURING your current one. sheesh. )

We were there in April and the last day DH was desperately trying to stay 2-3 extra nights but everything was booked because of school vacation. The last day DS4 says " can we come back for my birthday" We already had Dec planned but now we have added Oct.
I'm actually enjoying planning for friends. They're all newbies!!!
Our Dec trip is with one of them. I just don't want them to make the same mistakes we made, besides I tell the DH's that they'll never pay full price again ( ala Nanny Fine) and they are happy. One dads quote was "just tell me when to be at the airport."
