Is Animal Kingdon now open later?

I thought it always closed at 5. It looks like last night it stayed open till 8. I know eventually it will be open later with the nighttime show. but I didn't think the hours were extended yet

It's marathon weekend, everything is open later. It returns to 6pm closings next week.

It's not unusual for AK to close that late. Depending on anticipated crowd levels, closing time can be anywhere from 5 - 8 pm. The hours will have to be extended quite a bit later once ROL and the night safari start running.

I work at DAK, and we can close anywhere from 5pm-9pm. It just depends on forecasted crowds. On busier day we have even extended park hours for an additional hour after park close.
