My sister and I are thinking of going to Kona for breakfast around 9am or 10/1030am on Saturday, March 28. Will we need an ADR or can we just walk up without one? I don't know how popular breakfast is.

Thanks! :)

When I went in August it was not crazy busy. But I would make one just to be safe. You never know how busy it could get.

Hi neighbor,

ADRs are free and you can always cancel them later. You might as well make one!

Earlier this week we were able to walk up as a party of 6 at 10:45 am. We had wanted to eat bfast at Cap't Cooks (since Tonga Toast is served there) but they stopped bfast at 10:30. We wandered around a bit and I decided to inquire at Kona. They really do have a great bfast there, plus we had great service.

But, if you already know the day and time you might as well make the ADR....

I agree with the others. I think having ADRs is always the best way to go.

When we were there in August, it was crazy busy in the parks and most of the restaurants were packed full for the week, but when we went to Kona for breakfast (around 10:00 am), it was almost 75% empty.

Definitely make that ADR. Then you won't arrive just to be disappointed.

I have walked up to Kona and gotten seated for both breakfast and dinner. If you really do know the date and approx time you want to eat there, I would just go ahead and make an ADR. I have seen that restaurant packed and I have seen it almost empty. You just never know what it will be like.
