Is Aloha Island Open? (Dole Whips?)

I hope so!! WE are arriving next Wednesday and I know it was closed last time we made a December visit....

Does anyone know if the stand is open based on the time of year, or is it based on the temperature?

I was assuming it was closed during the season but I am hoping it's not!

Hahaha....that was no hope at all! But I am wondering the same thing. I was reeeaaaaallly looking forward to some Dole whips!

It should be open...the only time I have known it to be closed is during the partys.

We were in the parks from the 25th until the 3rd and they were open every day. You can also get the pineapple dole whip at Captain Cooks in the Polynesian.

It is usually closed when we go by but I think it is more time of day rather than season. We usually head that way first when we get to the parks and it is never open.

Last trip we finally made it over there later in the day for my very first Dole Whip

Next time it is the float for sure (silly me thought it would be too sweet, now I think it would be perfect!)

The last time I ate a Dole Whip was January 7, at about 11:00 am (and right before I ate lunch at the Plaza....if there's one thing about visiting WDW it's that it's ALWAYS okay to have dessert first ). It was about 50 degrees that morning when MK opened and didn't warm up too much that day. So going by that, I'd say the restaurant is not seasonal, though opening times may vary.

We just got back on the 5th and it was open and although it was cold outside, the Dole Whip was just delicious!!!

It BETTER be open! Its one of the reasons why I scheduled a short December trip!!!
