Thinking of having our reception at Sea Breeze Point. Is it possible for the guests to then walk to the Italy Isola for a reception or do i still need to get transportation? Also the website made it sound like that site is only for dessert parties. Can you have a buffet there??

You might be able to walk to Italy isola, but you'd have to meet an event guide at international gateway at minimum. The general rule, however, since you're entering the park in wedding gown and other formal attire, is that the entire party, guests included, have to use specialized Disney transportation to enter Italy from backstage. However, I would definitely check with your planner for confirmation. We have looked into using American adventure parlour as a reception site after an Epcot ceremony, and we've been told that we would have to use Disney transportation backstage when we left the reception.

You can have a buffet at Italy isola. If you do a full dinner, capacity is 50-60 people. A reception without a meal or a dessert party capacity is 100-150. Food & beverage minimum for a meal is $4500 vs $2300 for dessert party or reception without meal. Because there is some distance from the originating kitchens, the hot food selection is more limited. Cake also has more restrictions because the venue is outdoors.

thank you so much for that very informative response! Any idea where i might find that menu??? Also it seems to me ive seen somewhere on the boards the back up plan locations in case of rain.

I haven't seen a list of rain backups, but I know for Italy Isola, the American Adventure Rotunda is one of the potential backups. We had friends that recently got married and rain threatened their dessert party at UK Lochside. The backup was the Living Seas Salon. I've heard that the backup venues for Epcot are quite nice.

boo. it doesn't like the site. google disney wedding catering menu. for me, it was the third one on the list: magical kingdoms. there was a place that the entire menu was on pdf, but i'll have to look for it again.
