Is Al Gore a traitor or has he simply lost his mind?

I would say that it astounds me that you Bush lovers are still talking about ol' has-been Gore....but I suppose you'd rather dwell on that than your country going down the tubes at the incompetent/corrupt hands of the Bu$h Administration.

Carry on.

Just to correct one fact. Al Gore doesn't believe the US is a vast evil place. He thinks its a great place. Which is what he said in his speech.

If we promise to stop talking about Gore, will you (a collective you) stop talking about Robertson?

FYI, I don't think the country is going down the tubes, you (another collective) do.

Good points. :sunny:

How come most of those on the left always seem to think the country is going down the tubes? "Chicken Little" ??

Of course when it come to "morals & tolerance," they think the country is improving (keep God out and if it feels good, do it!).

That's right Joe. Gay sex and Bible burning on every street corner . Funny that you think this country is heading down Degenerate Lane and I think we heading back toward Father Knows Best Ave. But then again, I would make a lousy Puritan.

That's quite a leap from Father Knows Best Ave to Puritan Alley. Don't ya think?

Hows about we split the difference between DL and FKBA?

No, Joe, we don't think the country is going down the tubes. We think people like you are taking it down the tubes.

Tada!

I don't think America or Britain are going "down the pan"; it will take a lot more than just Bush or Blair to topple these fine nations.

Of course, morals are better than a lack thereof; so is tolerance. Both advance society and both should promote God's word.

Yeah, we're called "voters." Maybe someday the country will be blue, instead of red, but I doubt it. Big Al's speeches won't help. Doesn't he know he's contributing to "Global Warming."

Canada is still waiting for that big migration by those who threatened to leave.

Fine. I'll even let you name it. :scared:

Big Al, as you call him, came from you call a failed presidency and yet he still almost won. Well, actually he might have really won but that's another thread.

Funny, but if the country turns blue, I bet that the current administration will have had a lot to do with it. Nice of him to help so much. ;)

Bush really is making a spectacle of himself screwing himself. :lmao:

Actually, it's probably true. The latest projections are for moderate to possibly large Democratic gains in 2006. The possibility also exists to retake both houses (unlikely I think) but gains are quite likely. And yes, I think the lower Bush and Cheney's numbers get, the more the Democrats will profit from it in November.

Really? Newsflash: Sooner or later, the political winds change. Bank on it. It may not be today or tomorrow, but it will happen. Sometimes it happens with a disastrous event like the Depression and sometimes it happens because people are sick of looking at the "same old-same old".

Here is where those on your side of the aisle are making the great mistake. Keep opening the door to your personal life, your religious life, your voting rights, warrantless wiretaps, etc, because you happen to like who's in power. Eventually, you aren't going to like who's in power. Religious organizations are having a field day with meddling in politics and jockeying for "faith based" charity money. Someday, you're not going to like who's heading the Treasury Department and who's holding the purse strings.

There's an old adage: Be very nice to those you meet on your way up because you will meet the same ones on your way down.

Nobody stays in power forever. I'm a patient person who's very happy sitting back and watching those on your side of the aisle screw themselves because the end result will be the great political shift. Not today, and not tomorrow, but it's coming.

I think people like Big Al, Screamin' Dean, Splash Kennedy and I-hate-Bush-but-I-have-no-ideas-of-my-own Pelosi will certainly help to delay the "great political shift." Oh, and then there is we-are-the-president Hillary. (But at least she's one Dem who doesn't want to surrender to the terrorists in Iraq.)

BTW, religious organizations have the same rights to voice their opinion in the public arena and fight for change just like other groups.

I also agree. I've been reading and hearing one negative criticism of some Republicans on Capitol Hill: voting with the president. :lmao: A local rep is denying doing it all the time. "See, I've disagreed with the president here and here and here." Cracks me up!

The only wisdom I can impart here (since my levels of wisdom aren't exactly that great to begin with) is:

Oppositions don't win elections; Governments lose them.

We got a winnah here! :cheer2:

Joe hits the rightie Daily Double (Big Al, Screamin' Dean) AND the rightie Trifecta (Splash Kennedy, I-hate-Bush-but-I-have-no-ideas-of-my-own Pelosi, we-are-the-president Hillary) in one post.

Gotta be a record.

However, Joe, I think you missed a few people: Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Sacco and Vanzetti. (Thank you, George Carlin.)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

BTW, show me where I said religious organizations do not have a right to voice an opinion. They have every right to an opinion. They also have every right to actively campaign for any candidate, but on their own nickel. No reason the taxpayer should have to fund any religious organization, via tax-free status, if that religious organization becomes a PAC.

Keep up the good work, Joe, because sooner or later your religious groups will kill the golden goose.

Btw, I hope you like mangoes because that's what your president traded nuculer (pardon me, nuclear) technology for to India. Got yourself a real horse-trader there. :rotfl2:

It's a real hoot to watch. The Congressional Republicans can't run away fast enough from Bush.

A good way to see how badly a ship is sinking is to watch how many rats leave it.
