I dont know if I will ever get an AKL concierge stay, but is it worth the extra points? What are all the benefits? I know you can get a sunrise safari (any details on that would be awesome). Also, there is food available, but not much...

Thanks

Everyone should experience Concierge at least once.

The safari was just OK, only a few animals were out, the information shared by the Guides was very good and the breakfast was very good. Fast Passes have been discontinued.

The Concierge food is a treat, nice to experience but not worth fighting for. On some days the lounge was very crowded. Had to stand in line to get a 1-1/2 tart or a piece of cheese. The CM's were very good at their jobs and added to the experience.

Rooms are nothing special and the views are less than average.

We stayed once and really enjoyed it. We met a lovely couple from New Zealand. The Concierge lounge was great for an afternoon break and a nice place to chat. We did the SS and it was awesome. We saw lots of animals up close and the guides were great. The breakfast back at Tusker house was very good. As PP said it should be done at least once.

We just returned last night from our first concierge stay and would do it again in a heartbeat! The lounge was a great place to relax and having the food and drinks available throughout the day was a major plus. The CM's kept the food coming and there was always plenty. If anyone has any questions I'll try and answer them.

We're doing a 1 night stay in September because we really enjoyed the Wildlife Discovery Expedition last September and we're doing that again on the Saturday we're there. Neither of us enjoyed the Wayanama safari as much as others seem to as we read the reports here. We did enjoy the Sunrise Safari when we did that (we've 2 concierge level stays before this one with 3 nights being the longest one), and maybe we'll do it again on another CL stay.

We've not hung around the lounge much, but I do enjoy the potato chips!

We've done it twice. We really enjoyed it. LOVED the African Smoothie (but my hips didn't!)

I really think it's worth the extra points. Love hanging out in the lounge, we did both sunrise and sunset safaris and saw a TON of animals on both- I loved the chocolates on my turned down bed at night, too. Also nice to have the concierge make all your ADRs, and arrange anything else you need- they email a nice itinerary, and give you a hard copy when you check in. The last time we were having a huge DISmeet one day in France, and they even arranged for a Photopass photographer to be there to take pics, and for Princess Aurora to join us in some of the group shots. :thumbsup2 Looking forward to staying again this September with my husband. I think we might do the WDE this time since we didn't last time. I took so many wonderful photographs on that last trip!! And learned so much about all of the animals, too. The only downside that I saw was the view of the Savannah was not good at all- but we spent so much time viewing animals at other times, and soooo close up during those safaris, that I didn't mind the bad view so much. And my DH is really looking forward to the free beer aspect of concierge! :rotfl: Very happy to spend a few extra points per night for all of those ammenities.

This thread has me excited for our 6 night concierge stay coming up in July. We will be doing the Sunrise Safari for the first time. It was offered on Sundays and Thursday mornings. Can't wait!

Looking forward to finding out for myself.:cool1: We are staying CL in early Oct. for our 10th anniversary and have the Sunset Safari reserved. Can't wait. It sounds like so much fun.

We've done Concierge twice and it's great, I think.

We've done all three safaris and they were all fun. Wanyama Safari is the most expensive, but I thought it was worth it.

I'd love to do it again!

We've done one concierge stay at AKV and would do it again. If you're on the fence I'd say try it - even just a couple of days if that's all you could get. We did a split stay with CL being the 1st 5 nights. If I had to do it in the future I'd make it the last part of the trip so that we could have "lounged" in the lounge on check out day before leaving - that's my only regret :sad1:.

We are staying 8 nights concierge next March and planning on spending a lot of time at the resort doing the activities and relaxing. Can you please do a brief compare/contrast of the 3 safaris? We are interested in all 3.

I think it's worth it because it's not a whole lot more than a sav view. The lounge is really nice :).
