Is adding UK issued Disney tickets to a DVC reservation seamless?

Hi,

We're off to Florida in the summer and will be buying the UK 14 day pass direct from WDTC. I want to be ready to make the Fast Pass bookings at 60 days out, but if I wait until about 63 days out, I can get the tickets onto the next billing cycle of my credit card.

Assuming I do this, can I be reasonably certain that everything will be seamless in terms of being able to link the ticket numbers to the existing disney reservation, or does this end up being a convoluted process?

Thanks

Tony

You don't link tickets to a resort reservation. You link tickets to your MDE account - just a technicality I know but if you understand how the system works it makes life easier. Everything it linked to a MDE account. That account can be accessed by any linked MB or RFID card.

Booking FPs at 60s just requires a valid resort reservation to be linked and valid tickets to be linked.

Linking tickets is a simple process - just enter the number from the card or the will call reference. :goodvibes

We did this recently and it is worth noting that you don't get the will call number that you need to link the tickets on MDE for 24 hours if you are buying on line. We bought through the website, and immediately got an email receipt for the purchase but the reference number on that does not work as a suitable number on MDE. There is a note in the email saying your full ticket vouchers will be emailed within 24 hours, and then when they arrive, that email has the will call number on it. I think when we did it, we had to wait about 36 hours for the email, which I presume was to do with it taking a full working day and the time zones.

Once we had the right number on that second email, it took minutes to link the tickets on MDE.

SO if it works for you like it did for us you should be ok with a three day window, but be prepared for it to be close!

Good luck!

The other option would be to buy actual tickets and get them sent express delivery. They should beat the 3-day mark if they are a good seller - plenty of recommendations on here.

Adding the tickets to MDE is a pretty straightforward exercise once you have the tickets or the numbers.

I'm sure it will be fine either way.

OK, just for reference incase it helps in the future, this is what happened. Ordered the 5 tickets at 4pm yesterday from Disney UK (WDTC) and got an immediate confirmation. Just after midnight an invoice appeared, then around 6am this morning I got my ticket order confirmation. This had a barcode on it with just one 12 digit alphanumeric code underneath it. You enter that into the ticket number box on My Disney Experience and it links immediately, showing 5 tickets which I then had to assign to each member of the party.
