Is a limited dining ADR OK?

I asked elsewhere and got limited response. So I figured I'd try here...

Do you think it's acceptable to make an ADR if I'm only planning on eating Apps, having some drinks, and maybe some dessert?

Hoping to make an ADR at R&C right before illuminations, but it would be a late ADR so we'd eat apps, have some drinks, and get some dessert.

Is that acceptable or is considered wrong to take up a table if you're not eating a full meal:confused3 .

TIA!

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you're not just sitting there ordering waters.

I don't think there's any requirement that an entree must be ordered, whether you're DVC or not...unless you are on the dining plan or something.

We're DVC'ers and I don't see anything wrong with anyone ordering just what "you" want to eat. You didn't say anything about being on the dining plan. If not, I'm sure that there are lots of people that order just appetizers or desserts, etc.

I have done it, at Rose and Crown, for the purpose of watching Illuminations. There is no problem. As far as I know there is no minimum spending limit. I did leave a nice tip for the server (much more than 20%) because felt a little bad about taking up her table at a peak time with a very small bill. I kind of think of this as paying "rent" for my table... Of course that is a diner's prerogative.

What does being a "DVC'er" have to do with it?

Absolutely nothing, but I originally posted this on the DVC board and all Q's have to pertain to DVC or else they get moved...so I gave it a random shot....:rotfl:

It still got moved... HA!:lmao:

ETA: I've removed the DVC'rs...so it should make sense now...THANKS!

Nothing wrong in my opinion. When I go out to eat, I sometimes order an appetizer or two as my dinner instead of the standard entree. You'll still be eating so whats the problem. Like someone else said, "just as long as you're not just sitting there ordering waters"! haha....
Enjoy your meal.

Nothing wrong with it at all - as long as you realize that your table will almost certainly NOT be outside :)

Yup, I'm OK with that. R&C allows all guests to go out to the patio once illuminations comes on, so not being outside is not a big deal!

Thanks!
