Is a last minute trip to dvc (rental) feasible?

We had a family trip get canceled next week - I'd love to take a quick trip to Disney...

We've been thinking of DVC and thought we'd rent points for our next trip- just never thought it would be NEXT week!

It is certainly possible - occupancy at DVC resorts is very low right now.

You should be aware that most members may ask for payment in full before making the reservation though since they would otherwise be penalized if they cancelled a reservation within 30 days of arrival.

You might check the Rent/Trade Board to see if anyone is offering an existing reservation for the dates you want.

hmmm, looks like it could take 24hrs for a request to post on rent forums...

maybe we're better off going to the "other site" that books dvc for $13/pt?

ahhhh, much better- only waited an hour (not 24) for my post to release...

A couple nice folks have already responded.... now I need to wait this AM to be able to check availability... stressed....

Now that Ive been thinking of going to Disney for the last 24 hours- Im going to be bummed if we can t make it happen.... cross yer fingers.
