Is A&E Meet and Greet in the Princess Meet Spot on this map?

http://www.easywdw.com/cheatsheets/mk_cheatsheet.pdf

I have an early morning ADR at CTR and I am trying to decide if we need a FP for A&E or if we can get there early enough after rope drop to not have a long wait. Or should we just go straight to the Mine Train and get a FP for A&E?

Thanks!

Yes - what Josh has marked as princess meet, next to Winnie the Pooh,is the princess fairytale hall. A&E meet on one side and I think Cinderella and Rapunzel on the other.

Should we just go straight there after breakfast and get a FP for the Mine Train?
yes if you are getting out of breakfast before the park opens. You'll only be allowed to go a certain distance from Breakfast (I'm not sure where they hold the breakfast people) but you should be towards the front of the crowd.

The A&E meet is VERY popular

You might want to read up more on FP+. Same day FP for the mine train may not be as easy to get as you are thinking or may be for much later in the day.

I don't see where OP said anything about a same day FP+.

I would FP both of them. Even if you are in early it doesn't mean you'll get out of CRT early. I wouldn't chance it because with either attraction, 5 min can make a HUGE difference.

I understood it as they were going to try to do the old fashioned early morning run for a fast pass but I guess maybe that isn't what they meant. It could be understood either way as written.

Sorry I am new. I meant go straight to A&E and get a fastpass (ahead of time for 7DMT) OR should I not chance it and get the A&E fp. She would not want to miss that meet and greet for sure. I would think our ressie is for 8:05 so we should be done before 9...right? DD is not a big eater. We are doing it for the characters and pre-park opening ADR.

You don't want to wait until day-of to get a FP for A&E or 7DMT if you want one at all--they will almost certainly be already gone.

Yes, she is talking about getting the fastpass ahead of time, not asking about day-of fastpass availability.

OP- If you are able to get a fastpass for A&E at a time that works for you then that's your best/easiest bet. But that doesn't always happen since they are gone so quickly after they open up. In that case, getting out of breakfast by 8:45 and getting to the front of the line going around the carousel would be a good back-up. (they don't let you go between the carousel and the castle to get to the meet, which would be the quickest and most obvious path to take, people have made the mistake of lining up there and then by the time they realize the way the crowd is being directed around the carousel, they are way back in line)

Don't chance it. Get a FP for both. Saves the trouble. You won't have control over when you leave CRT. If you are there for characters then the last thing you want to do is leave before you see them all. Entirely possible with an 8:05 reservation. Sure, you may be done but there is no way to guarantee it. Get the FP for both 7DMT and A&E and eliminate the worry. Or at least try to get them. Personally, I've never NOT found an A&E FP booking 60 days early.

I would get FP+ for both if you can. I have never been seated at my table an earlier than 15-20 minutes after my ADR time. You have a server, not a buffet, so not easy to control the time frame. I think the entire announcement, appearance and rotation of the Princesses is timed for approximately one hour. I would be surprised if you are done eating and greeting before the line has formed at A&E. It still might be a manageable wait in which case you could get in line then switch off your FP+ for it to something else.

i would plan more time for your meal - the characters do take awhile to come around to all of the tables

Thanks! I am going to try and get a FP for A&E since it's a MUST do for dd. I will try to get it for later in the day in the hopes that I don't have to use it. Thanks again :)

I would still shoot for an earliesh (10am-12pm) FastPass for both 7DMT and A&E. If you do happen to get a short line for either of those attractions after breakfast, it will be very easy to change those FastPasses to something else that interests you that morning.

I have plans to meet another Dis mama later so I need two of my FP for Peter Pan and Wishes with her and her dd. So one FP it is. I might try to do 7DMT the day before. I'm rethinking my strategy :)
